Chris Brown

Troubled singer Chris Brown was spotted smoking a cigarette on the set of his latest music video for his single "Love More" in Los Angeles, Calif., today. Brown, 24, was accompanied by a posse of hard legs, including his faithful manager, Bu Thiam, 3rd from left. Meanwhile, the NY Post reports that a NY judge quietly signed an order to temporarily shutter a nightclub where Brown and rapper Drake brawled last year. The W.i.P. and its sister club Greenhouse on Varick Street will be shut down for 10 days starting September 1. An attorney for the club — co-owned by NBA guard Larry Hughes -- argued that a temporary shutdown would put his client "out of business." The club owners are also ordered to pay $10,000 in fines. The bottle throwing brawl sparked at least half a dozen lawsuits.

Keyshia Cole

Everyone was raving about Keyshia Cole's performance of "Trust and Believe" on 'Black Girls Rock'. She killed it! No one can sing about heartbreak and hurt and make you feel it the way Keyshia can. "You had my heart, but then you blew it," Keyshia croons with such emotion.

When Keyshia tells her best friend (Tae Heckard) that her boyfriend didn't call her back after she paged him, Heckard says "He really loves you. You know this."

But Keyshia, like few young women today, is much more aware of what true love is. She knows that true Love is not what a man says, it's what he does.

Rap mogul 50 Cent recently signed rapper Shawty Lo to his G-Unit roster though D4L. Fiddy flew to Atlanta over the weekend to shoot a music video for Lo's first single. Local rapper Jai Jai also appears in the music video. As you know, Shawty Lo left his longtime love, and baby mama, E'Creia to get back with Jai Jai who he met when the latter was only 15.

Jai Jai always said she would get her man even though he was with E'Creia. The two ladies occasionally fought over him. Jai Jai told everyone she would get him back, but most of her friends thought she was crazy. They're not thinking that now.

Sean "Puffy" Combs was one of the notable music industry veterans who didn't bother to visit rapper T.I. when he was locked up inside a federal prison last year. I hear T.I. took notes on who didn't stop by -- those notes includes everyone except for rapper Nelly who drove his tour bus to Arkansas to visit the rubber band man.

So it's interesting to see that T.I. agreed to appear on this Dirty Money track and in the video. These chicks are extremely boring to me. I still don't understand why Sean signed them. He should really give up the music thing and focus on his other ventures.

Cute low budget music video by up-and-coming rapper iQ (International Quincy). As you know iQ is the spawn of singer-turned radio DJ Al B Sure and sometime model/socialite Kim Porter. iQ's Twitter page is @ThisisMyiq. Follow him and let him know if this track is a hit or a miss.

Thanks to Thad over at ExclusiveAccess.net for sending these behind the scenes photos taken on the set of Shawty Lo's "WTF" video shoot in Atlanta yesterday with rapper Lil Wayne.

Wayne, a New Orleans native, has less than two weeks of freedom left before he reports to a NY state prison to serve out a one year sentence after pleading guilty to weapons charges in October. Wayne, 27, joins the growing list of rappers who trade in their sagging jeans for a prison jumpsuit while still at the top of their game.
