Ludacris Covers Honey Magazine

Grammy award winning artist Ludacris covers Honey Magazine’s March issue and discusses his 10 years in the game, his ideal woman and what it was like when he met Bill O’ Reilly for the first time.

What is wrong with black men? Don’t they understand that their women want to know that she is on his mind and she is special to him? So why do men say the dumbest things when asked about their women?

In this interview, Luda sticks his foot in his mouth (similar to how T.I. failed when asked about Tameka). Luda was asked to describe his ideal woman. Now, most of us know that Luda is in a relationshp with a non-industry (read: regular) chick who we have seen him kissing all over in several pics.

But here’s how he answers the question:

I don’t know what my type is until I see or meet that person. I guess I could say, intelligence, great personality and beauty, inside and out. I don’t discriminate.

Dude, aren’t you in a relationship??? Come on, don’t you realize she reads magazines?

Most of you will recall when T.I. described his fiancee, Tameka, as a “situation.” I wish I could be a fly on the wall when Ludacris tries to explain what he really meant to his woman. We know that men don’t think emotionally when they are in relationships. But is it true that black men consider their women to be out of sight, out of mind?

Honey Mag: Who is Ludacris’ mystery woman? Is she someone special in your life?
Luda: I try to preserve certain things and keep things special and that is one thing that I would like to keep private.

Honey Mag: How long is a good love-making session?
Luda: All day long.

Just because she is his woman at this time doesn’t make her his IDEAL. He’s simply speaking about a woman he’s dating, TI was speaking on his FIANCEE (I use that loosely), “Love of my life,” and mother of his children. That’s a big difference.

Sounds like he just want to keep his relationship private. Maybe he’s got a good thing going and don’t want to mess it up by putting her in the limelight, like Usher did Tameka…another mistake Usher made was letting his fans know that there was no chance of getting him anymore. Sounds like Luda has some good PR people and know the importance of letting fans staying in their fantasy worlds of thinking they have a chance with these rappers.

in my life i’ve never had an “ideal” woman that i looked for i really just went went with the flow. i never blew anyone off because of anything superficial like looks which would get me plenty of side eyes cause i am generally received as a handsome man. but this mindset brought me the company of big, small, tall, short, dark, light etc…and the pros and cons of each, their individual personalities and what i was/wasn’t compatable with. i say all this to say i don’t think alot of men have dream women that they aspire to be with forever per se, i know a lot of guys that have women they lust for, which is fleeting because there are too many beautiful women in the world, but what are you gonna do when the initial enfatuation subsides?

@ AWESOME ARSENAL, I used to think that something was wrong with the guy if he didn’t have an ideal woman he wanted to be with in his life. But men are different from woman plus, IMO I think it’s easier for a guy to find the “perfect package” (nobody’s perfect, but you know what I mean) in a female versus finding that in a guy, so maybe that’s why men don’t have to think about an ideal woman.

i just couldn’t even subscribe to the “one for me” philosophy, there’s just too many poeple in this world for me to really beleive that. now, i do have some perequisites for what i need in my woman i.e.. beauty (which is always subjective), reciprocity, being able to hold a conversaton even when my opinion doesn’t neccesarily reflect yours, etc….i don’t think that’s much to ask for and i definitely don’t think i’ve “settled”. my brother has an ideal look that he wants in his women and while he has no problem getting these women, there hasn’t been a good outcome in any of them, and he is definitely a man that wants to marry and have a family.
