Monica is too beautiful and has too good of a fashion sense to have all those tats. As pretty as she is those tats cheapen whatever look she’s going for and makes her look real hood. @Al, honestly I think that’s why she doesn’t have any model contracts. Bey doesn’t have any tats (at least not visible and huge like Mo’s) and she’s managed to cross over to the point where “they” don’t see her as ghetto same with Rhianna. Her tats are all small and relatively unnoticeable and she has that crossover appeal going for her too. I like Monica, she’s a beautiful woman with a great voice but the ghetto ignorant men, huge tats and tacky club shows and parties is keeping her a strictly black artist (not saying that’s a bad thing, I have a HUGE problem when our artists crossover to mainstream and change their whole style and image or carry over slang and terms that become played, annoying and stereotypical but I’m too tired for one of my essays, I had to suck the pain and tiredness up and be mommy playing daddy extra hard for my babies esp my son today cause they deserved it) anyway but if she doesn’t work on her image some meaning covering up those tacky tats sometimes, keeping her love life quiet especially when dating men like she has the last 10 years or so, and stay away from events like this, she will never get those kind of contracts and endorsements that other celebs with half her looks, fashion sense or talent gets. I know she reads this blog and I’m not trying to be disrespectful at all just calling it like I see it and unfortunately know this country to be. I spent too much time in management and its just like corporate america, if you can’t leave the hood behind you, speak properly, natural hair color (or at least someones natural hair color no kool aid shades), dress appropriately and make sure that you are at the absolute top of your game they are not hiring you and if you do get hired it won’t be for long

It’s jmo but huge visible tat’s look nasty, hood, ghetto on anybody black, white, puerto rican, nicaraugan, swedish, british,male, female just anybody. I pointed out Monica’s in response to Al asking why she can’t get a modeling contracts/endorsements and imo it’s that she can’t leave that hood image alone. You can get a job, anyone can and should be able to find gainful employment, but being covered in huge, visible tats all over will greatly reduce your chances of getting many jobs, ask anybody who’s ever worked in management, hr, hiring or job placement, as will showing up with kool aid colored hair, talking like you never learned proper english, and dressing like you’re prepared to sit back on the porch all day instead of work in an office around other people. Not trying to put anybody down, but I’ve seen it all and Monica’s problem is her image. She has the talent, looks and industry connects to make it, but she needs to shed her rep and reinvent herself starting with not performing at things like this, it’s a freakin condom party
