It’s official: R&B singer Ciara‘s new album, Jackie, is a flop. According to industry estimates, Jackie is expected to move about 22,000 units in 1st week sales (that includes online streaming). Those are pretty dismal numbers when you think about how far Ciara has risen since her “Goodies” days.
Not that Ciara cares about her latest pathetic failure in the studio. Ciara’s sole mission in life has always been to trap a husband. Wait, did I say ‘trap’? I meant find a husband.
CiCi is too busy using her feminine wiles on NFL quarterback Russell Wilson to worry about the insignificance of album sales. Cultivating her public image as a football star’s soon-to-be wife is much more satisfying to her ego.
One of CiCi’s industry friends, Isaac Hayes 3, is taking her most recent failure to heart.
In a scorching Instagram post, Isaac III addressed Ciara’s latest flop and puts the blame squarely on the shoulders of Ciara’s A&R Ray Daniels. Hayes’s blistering post accused Daniels of sacrificing Ciara’s project by tapping unsung Atlanta producers/songwriters Rock City for most of the album’s production. Rock City just so happens to be Daniels’ artists. Isaac III saw a conflict of interest there that turned out badly for Ciara. But not that she cares…
