Jada Pinkett Smith may soon be able to whip her hair back and forth. The mom of 2 took to Instagram on Monday to show off her new hair growth.

“This here hair is act’n like it’s try’n a make a come back. Still have some trouble spots but — we’ll see,” she wrote.

While Jada looks stunning, some of her 11.4 million followers doubt her hair is growing back after she allegedly suffered from alopecia for years.

Jada made a career out of being an alopecia sufferer. She said alopecia caused her hair to permanently fall out in some spots.

Jada wore a buzz cut for years, but her fans struggled to see the bald spots that are characteristic of alopecia.

“I’ve been having issues with hair loss,” she said on an episode of “Red Table Talk”. “It was terrifying when it first started. I was in the shower one day and had just handfuls of hair in my hands and I was just like, ‘Oh my God, am I going bald?'”

Some fans speculated that Jada’s hair was thinning due to menopause and wearing hair extensions. They accused Jada of lying about suffering from alopecia.

Jada’s possible deception may have cost her husband, Will Smith his career.

Will famously attacked presenter Chris Rock during the 2022 Academy Awards when the comedian cracked a joke about Jada’s hair loss. Chris compared Jada to actress Demi Moore who wore a buzz cut in the movie “G.I. Jane.”

Will stormed the stage and slapped Chris so hard that spit flew out of his mouth.

Despite winning his first Oscar Award that night, Will was banned from the Oscars for 10 years and movie roles dried up.

Now Will and Jada are forced to finance and produce the movies he stars in.
