Megan Thee Stallion sheds her old skin and her ex-boyfriend in the new music video for her single “Cobra.”
“Cobra” documents Megan’s struggle with depression after being shot by her former lover Tory Lanez who is now serving hard time in prison.
She called Tory’s conviction “a victory for every woman who has ever been shamed, dismissed, and blamed for a violent crime committed against them.”
Megan said she hit rock bottom when she ended her relationship with songwriter and producer Pardison Fontaine. In “Cobra,” Megan details how she caught Pardi cheating with a woman “in the same spot I sleep in.”

Megan’s legal victory against over former record label 1501 Certified Entertainment gave her the opportunity to start over without any contractual obligations.
Megan now funds her own music and she refuses to sign to a new record label.
“I have no label right now,” she explained in an Instagram Live.
“We’re doing everything funded straight out of Megan Thee Stallion’s pockets. So, the budget is coming from me. Motherf—ing Hot Girl Productions! The next sh*t y’all about to see is all straight from Megan Thee Stallion’s brain and Megan Thee Stallion’s wallet. We are in my pockets, hotties, so let’s do our big one.”
