Police arrested Joeanna Isabela Badger, 21, and Devonte Tyrese Orr, 20, as suspects in Lynch’s death.

They were arrested in Jasper County on January 22 and charged with murder, burglary, and conspiracy. Orr is also charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.

Lynch’s last contact with his wife, Da’Myra Lynch, was on Friday, Jan. 19, around 3:30 p.m. He had just left work at The Hultquist Firm in Greenville, But instead of heading home, he went to the Days Inn where he met with the suspects.

Da’Myra reported Lynch was missing on January 20.

She announced her husband’s death in an updated Instagram post on Jan. 21.

“Dj has been found & he is with Jesus now,” she wrote.

Da’Myra also requested donations to a GoFundMe page.

In addition to being a tax accountant, blogger and social media influencer, Lynch also coached a basketball team that his daughter was a member of.

He hosted a podcast called “Dad Big Thinker.”

According to his obituary, Lynch “loved God with all of his heart” and “spent quality time reading his Bible and praying.”

The motive of the shooting is unknown. But friends believe he was ministering to the young suspects who killed him.

Lynch leaves behind his wife and 2 small children.
