Rapper T.I. was arrested in Henry County, Georgia early Wednesday after attempting to gain access to his wife Tameka Harris’ home, AJC.com reports via Channel 2 Action News.
The 37-year-old rap activist, whose real name is Clifford Harris, Jr., was taken into custody around 4 a.m. after threatening a security guard who refused to grant him access to Tameka’s gated community.
T.I. did not have his key and argued with a guard who would not grant him access, Henry County police said. At some point, the rapper called a friend who eventually joined him.
T.I. was arrested on misdemeanor charges of simple assault, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness and has since posted bond, Channel 2 reported. His friend was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
In 2015, Tameka purchased a 12,973 sq ft home in the upscale Eagle’s Landing subdivision. She moved out of T.I.’s mansion in Jonesboro, Georgia, after rumors of cheating wit Internet thot Bernice Burgos.
The Bernice Burgos rumors became a storyline on the couple’s reality TV show, which led some to believe the relationship was manufactured for TV.
The rapper who is very outspoken about social issues on social media had nothing to say after his arrest.
T.I. and Tameka have 4 children together.
