Here’s Matthew Knowles‘ response to Aretha Franklin who felt slighted (or unloved) because Beyonce introduced Tina Turner as “the queen” during their Grammy duet:
“I’m not even going to take this to [Beyonce]. Something this ridiculous, it’s childish, it’s unprofessional. And it’s a sad day when egos get bruised because somebody used the word king, queen, prince or princess.”
This is supposedly the official video for Kanye West‘s “Flashing Lights” off his Graduation CD. But I don’t know. It does look like that’s Kanye tied up and gagged in the trunk before the video chick puts the shovel to his private parts.

Comedian/actor Kenan Thompson launched his new magazine Style and Substance at the new Wet Bar aka 10th and Spring last week. Hosting the party was Kenan’s good friend Nick Cannon. The magazine was originally launched in LA in 2006 as Substance & Style magazine, but Kenan opened up an Atlanta branch thanks to the ATL’s reputation for being the NY of the South.

Sports Illustrated, considered the Holy Grail of Sports photography, has released its hotly anticipated Swimsuit Issue. Okay, La La Vasquez didn’t make the cover (as if that would ever happen in our lifetimes). But she is featured in the “Player’s Wives” section as a “model.”
She’s pretty and her equipment is quite impressive, but we wouldn’t go so far as to put the former MTV jock in the model category. One question though: when did La La and Denver Nuggets star Carmelo Anthony get married?
We here at Sandrarose.com strive to be accurate and credible. While checking our notes, we cannot find an invitation to their nuptials which had to be the wedding of the year. I’m confidant that one of my loyal readers will come up with a date and maybe a few pics from their wedding.

Some rumors are so dumb they defy all logic. The newest dumb rumor to hit the Internets claims Keyshia Cole is in the early stages of pregnancy and that the baby’s father is some random executive. First of all, Keyshia made it clear to me that she and her longtime boyfriend, Young Jeezy, live together. So unless they had an orgy – which I highly doubt – this rumor is bogus.

Aretha Franklin expressed her outrage at being snubbed by Beyoncé during the 50th Annual Grammy Awards telecast last Sunday. Ms. Franklin took offense to Beyoncé introducing Tina Turner as “the queen” during their duet together.
Here’s what the legendary queen of soul had to say about Beyoncé’s royal snub:
“I am not sure of whose toes I may have stepped on or whose ego I may have bruised between the Grammy writers and Beyoncé, however I dismissed it as a cheap shot for controversy. In addition to that, I thank the Grammy’s and the voting academy for my 20th Grammy and love to Beyoncé anyway.” (Source)
Shock jock Wendy Williams responded to the Mariah Carey‘s reference to her in Mariah’s new single “Touch My Body”. In the single, Mariah sings, “Cause they be all up in my business like a Wendy interview”.
The song is about a slut woman who describes a sex romp “on the floor” but she warnls her male friend that she will “hunt him down” if she sees the sex tape on YouTube or reads of their escapades in print.
By the way, Wendy and Charlamagne, E=MC² is not an original title for an album (lol). Albert Einstein thought of it first in 1905. It’s Einstein’s famous equation that explains the equivalence of energy and mass (Energy equals mass times the speed of light squared).

Gary Coleman says he’s married to a woman he met on the Internet. Okay, I’m kidding. He didn’t meet her on the Internet, but the former Different Strokes star tells Inside Edition that he’s secretly married and this is his first ever romantic relationship:
“I never got the opportunity to be romantic or feel romantic with anyone,” he says. “I wasn’t saving myself, she just happened to be the one.”
The couple’s nuptials happened, “on a mountaintop,” according to Coleman. “Nobody was around but the minister, preacher, the videographers, the photographer, the helicopter pilot and us. That was all that was there. There was nobody else.” (Source)
Considering the times that we’re living in, this smells like a made-for-tv marriage to me. Look for the annulment proceedings to begin in 4…3..2
