Fetty and five other individuals, including a corrections officer, were charged with "conspiring to distribute and possess controlled substances" including cocaine, heroin and fentanyl.

The indictment referred to Fetty as a "kingpin".

He was eventually released on $500,000 secured bond in November 2021. The 30-year-old rapper was ordered to wear an ankle monitor and report to a parole officer for random drug tests.

For a while no one heard from Fetty. He seemed to be complying with the terms of his release and staying out of trouble.

Then, on Monday, he was arrested for violating conditions of his pre-trial release after he allegedly waved a firearm in the air on FaceTime and threatened to kill a man whom he repeatedly referred to as a "rat", authorities said.

The FaceTime video was initially recorded in December. It shows Fetty waving a gun menacingly, and telling the unnamed man that he would "kill you and everybody you with," according to an affidavit seeking to revoke his bail.

It isn't clear why it took authorities 8 months to act on the alleged threat.

Fetty Wap is best known for his hit single "Trap Queen". The prolific breeder has fathered 7 children with 6 baby mamas. He reportedly houses some of them in 14 apartment buildings he owns.

One of Fetty Wap's baby mamas proves that women who have babies by rappers are not all gold diggers.

Lezhae Keona, who is mother to two of Fetty's 7 children, responded to a fan's question about child support on her Instagram Story.

"Why don't you take Fetty to child support it's unfair you have to financially take care of your kids alone," the fan said. "Make him pay!!!!"

However, Lezhae said pursuing the rapper in family court is a waste of her time and energy. She said he was ordered to pay child support, but he never made the payments.

"I was against this at one point in my life but 2 kids 4 years and lots of financial games later... I did put him on [child support], but honestly it's just not a good system. He doesn't pay it, nothing happens it just builds up and that's it idk."

She continued: "I'm not too focused on it because it's a waste of energy. If he helps that's nice if not whatever idc honestly over it lol kids gotta eat everyday regardless I brought them here no point in wasting energy arguing about who feedin them when ima do it at the end of the day regardless."

Lezhae has had several public run-ins with her deadbeat baby daddy, so she wants nothing to do with him.

In one incident in 2021, New Jersey police issued a warrant for Fetty's arrest after the one-eyed rapper threatened Lezhae outside her residence. The embarrassing incident was caught on camera and went viral in 2021. Watch the video below.

The Suffolk County DA's Office released photos of drugs, cash in clear bags, firearms, and disposable cell phones seized from the rapper and his five associates. The haul included 16 kilos of cocaine, 2 kilos of heroin, hundreds of fentanyl pills, 5 guns, and around $1.5 million in cash.

"The fact that we arrested a chart-topping rap artist and a corrections officer as part of the conspiracy illustrates just how vile the drug trade has become," said Michael J. Driscoll, assistant director-in-charge at the New York Field Office of the FBI.

The artist, born William Junior Maxwell II, was one of six men indicted by prosecutors in Brooklyn, the US justice department said in a statement on Friday.

Prosecutors claim Wap, along with five others, trafficked more than 100 kilograms of heroin, fentanyl and crack cocaine from the west coast and sold the deadly drugs in New Jersey and Long Island, according to the New York Post.

One of his alleged associates, Anthony Cyntje, is a New Jersey corrections officer.

Fetty Wap is in FBI custody following his arrest on federal drugs charges on Thursday afternoon.

The "Trap Queen" rapper was arrested by FBI agents on Thursday, Oct. 28, at the Citi Field stadium in Queens, New York, a senior law enforcement source told the New York Post's Page Six.

The stadium is where the Rolling Loud New York Festival was taking place.

The FBI typically doesn't waste time on street level drug deals or recreational marijuana use. Federal drug busts usually involve massive quantities of drugs or drug trafficking.

Wap, real name Willie Junior Maxwell II, is expected to appear in federal court later on Friday, although no further details of his arrest were immediately available about the arrest.

The 30-year-old New Jersey native was arrested two years ago in Las Vegas for allegedly punching a car valet.

He was signed to 300 Entertainment in 2014. He is ranked No. 17 on Sandrarose.com's list of prolific breeders in hip-hop with 7 kids by 6 women.

Turquoise Miami, the mother of rapper Fetty Wap's late 4-year-old daughter, Lauren Maxwell, denies the cause of death listed on Lauren's death certificate.

Lauren died from a cardiac arrhythmia (irregular heartbeat) at home in Atlanta on June 24, according to a death certificate obtained by TMZ.

She was born with a congenital heart defect on February 7th, 2017, and had undergone open heart surgery in 2019.

Hours after TMZ reported Thursday that Lauren died from an irregular heartbeat, Turquoise took to her Instagram Story to dispute the cause of death.

She lashed out at TMZ for "stealing" the death certificate and publishing misinformation about her daughter.

"This is what y'all people do for fun. F–k all y'all. Her death certificate says cardiac arrhythmia due to a congenital heart defect BUT THAT IS NOT THE FULL CAUSE OF HER DEATH THAT IS WHY THE AUTOPSY HASN'T COME BACK!

"HOW DARE Y'ALL GO STEAL MY CHILD'S DEATH CERTIFICATE AND ANNOUNCE THE CAUSE OF DEATH BEFORE ANYBODY WAS READY. THERE IS A REASON WHY! HER AUTOPSY ISN'T BACK YET."

In another post Turquoise accused TMZ of exploiting her daughter's death.

"Y'all love breaking news so bad but this is my life and it's me without my daughter not none of y'all!. I feel the loneliness every night not none of y'all! Y'all so f–kin Thirsty to report a 4 year old. This is my trauma that is why I posted and moved HOW I FELT COMFORTABLE!"

As rumors about their daughter's death circulated on social media, Fetty and Turquoise waited nearly 2 months to confirm Lauren's death.

So far, Fetty Wap hasn't commented on the death certificate controversy.

Fetty Wap is also father to five other children with multiple women: Amani, 5, Aydin, 10, Khari, 5, Zaviera, 6, and Zy, born in 2018.

"Y'all can do me a favor? Just post all butterflies. All butterflies. [She] loved butterflies. If you guys could do that, that means a lot."

After Fetty's fans questioned why he waited so long to confirm the rumors about his daughter's death, Turquoise wrote:

"It couldn't hurt Some of y'all to be a little bit more compassionate, you don't have to kick a man while he's down."

She defended the father-of-six and claimed he "improved" as a parent over the years.

"He became more financially and emotionally responsible for her. He didn't post her the same way I didnt, because Lauren use to get a lot of disrespectful things said about her and I asked him not to [sic]."

She added:

"All that y'all need to know is Lauren loved her daddy and he loved her.

"She made him laugh with her crazy funny personality and she loved to be the center of attention and he loved to be her audience."

Fetty dedicated his Rolling Loud performance in Miami to his late daughter in an Instagram Story: "LoLo daddy did that s*** for you last night baby girl."
