According to various gun shops around the country, sales of assault rifles have literally shot through the roof since the Nov. 4 presidential election.

The recent run on assault rifles and semi-automatic pistols would mean big profits if only shop owners had the supply to meet the high demand.

"I could sell a hundred ARs an hour, if I had them," said one gun owner who is patiently awaiting a delivery of AR15 carbines, AK-47s and high capacity magazines.

Assault rifles are the weapons of choice for hired killers, terrorists, the KKK, rappers and other like-minded individuals.

Gun shop owners deny the weapons are being stockpiled by racists and rednecks to kill hundreds of blacks, as some wild Internet rumors allege.

The shop owners say gun enthusiasts simply fear stricter gun laws under the new Obama-led administration. Obama is expected to impose the most divisive, anti-gun laws of any president in recent history.

The Clinton administration outlawed assault rifles in 1994, but was lax on enforcing the laws. The law expired in 2004 under the Bush administration.

Three female inmates at the Greene County jail in Indiana used a shower drain to pry open ceiling panels in their cell and escape for a night of passion, drinking and card playing with three male inmates who were being housed in a nearby cell.

Surveillance cameras failed to capture the escapes which occurred more than a dozen times. The women were busted when jail officials found notes in their cell detailing their sexual encounters with the male inmates. All six inmates now face felony charges.

Rapper T.I. testified in a Cincinnati, Ohio court on Friday during the trial of one of the suspects accused of shooting T.I.'s assistant and childhood friend Philant Johnson during a rolling gun battle on a Cincinnati highway.

A somber T.I. took the stand for approximately 40 minutes to describe the shooting incident that stemmed from an altercation at a Cincinnati nightclub in May 2006.

Licking his lips and narrowing his eyes, T.I. then described getting into the backseat of a black van, as Johnson sat in front of him. He said he realized very quickly that something unusual was going on as the van pulled away and he saw headlights going into oncoming traffic from a vehicle that was attempting to get alongside the black van. "Before I knew it, shots rang out," he said, explaining that they came from the left side of the van and that he immediately took cover as an unnamed person in his van returned fire.

Following the shootout, a white motorist stopped to help T.I. and those who weren't injured, transfer the dying Johnson from T.I.'s van, which was disabled, to another van for the trip to the hospital.

Asked what Johnson looked like when he dragged him from the vehicle, T.I. said with a hard stare at no one in particular, "lifeless," describing the blood running down his friends face, a shirt wet with blood and an entry wound on Johnson's left temple.

The defendant, Hosea Thomas' brother Padron Thomas has identified him as the shooter. It was Padron Thomas who drove the Jeep that allegedly chased the vans used by T.I. and his entourage on May 3, 2006.

T.I. denied allegations that he started the incident by "making it rain" at the Cincinnati club.  Source

I didn't watch the AMAs' last night (yawn), but here are some pics courtesy of the picture man, Drew Reports. Yes, I was too lazy to look up the pics myself. And, yes these are the same pics every other blog is posting, but if I don't post 'em then you'll keep emailing me asking why I haven't posted any pics from the boring AMAs. So here you go. :)

I knew there was something about Kanye West that I liked. I just couldn't put my finger on it. For all the doubters who said Rihanna would never snatch Beyonce's crown, do you believe now? (I know, it's hard to admit when you're wrong) :)

In a new interview with KROQ, Kanye West explains his recent statement regarding Britney and her VMA awards (also He talks about Rihanna career): "Im not trying to diss Britney or anything like that. One of my favorite songs last year was “Gimme Gimme.” Like, I love that record. But I just feel like Rihanna had a really breakout year and became the biggest artist… like Rihanna sells more records than me all together if you include her in national sales and she is arguably the biggest artist in the world right now.“ Source

Floyd Mayweather paid a lot of bills and made the ladies happy last night at Pure Atlanta. If you missed it, you missed out on your share of over $50K in cash that Mayweather blessed the crowd with!

I hear the ladies were out of control in the VIP area near where Mayweather was standing. But he had his eye on one chica in particular all night long.

As if the cash wasn't enough, Mayweather and Benny, the promoter of Thursday nights at Pure, gave away a free BMW to one lucky winner last night!

Now why didn't Benny tell me they were giving away a free Beemer?

I guess Benny heard that a certain club owner gave away three luxury vehicles recently, including two Benzes and a Range Rover.

Now that the U.S. has elected its first Muslim president in Barack Obama, Michael Jackson is following suit by converting to Islam himself. According to The Sun UK, Jacko has changed his name in accordance with his new religion.

Jacko will henceforth be known as "Mikaeel":

The skint superstar, 50, donned Islamic garb to pledge allegiance to the Koran in a ceremony at a pal’s mansion in Los Angeles, The Sun can reveal.

Jacko sat on the floor wearing a tiny hat after an Imam was summoned to officiate — days before the singer is due to appear at London’s High Court where he is being sued by an Arab sheik.

A source told last night how Jacko, brought up as a Jehovah’s Witness, decided to convert as he used a studio at the home of his chum to record a new album.

An Imam was summoned from the mosque and Michael went through the shahada, which is the Muslim declaration of belief. Mikaeel is the name of one of Allah’s angels.

Jacko rejected an alternative name, Mustafa — meaning "the chosen one". Source

Looks like Tyra Banks is coming out of her dry spell. She was really feeling it when "Twilight" star Robert Pattinson licked her neck during the taping of her show today. I'm going to see that movie this weekend so I can find out for myself what all the hype is about.

Rocsi celebrated her 35th birthday last night at a private residence in NYC. Rocsi flipped the bird to all her haters -- that is, except for BET 106 & Park co-host Terrance J. I guess they're best friends now. They're going to need each other more than ever: I hear their jobs on 106 & Park might be on the chopping block due to dwindling ratings. As you already know, MTV's TRL failed to pull in its numbers and closed up shop.

Beyonce looks red-hot as she shows off her cleavage in the arms of a Japanese pop star. The Sasha Fierce star, 27, looks stunning as she towers over Tokyo in a figure-hugging dress with a plunging neckline. But husband Jay-Z has nothing to worry about. The ad for handbag maker Samantha Thavasa is only-for-Japan and was made when she visited Tokyo late in October.

The lucky chap in the billboard campaign is Takuya Kimura, 35, singer for Japanese group SMAP. "Kimura is very handsome, strong, manly and sexy," said Beyonce. Kimura returned the compliment sating: "I enjoyed the time with her. She is really sexy and crute. I can learn many things from her to be a nicer guy." The ads will appear in Samantha Thavasa's 117 shops nationwide as well as on billboards in Aoyama and Harajuku.

A divorce decree for Madonna and Guy Ritchie divorce has been granted and may become final in six weeks and a day. Guy gets props for not taking Madonna to the cleaners.

Of Madonna's $300 million fortune, Guy walks away with a paltry $10 million.

But he got what he wanted which was joint custody of his sons, David and Rocco, who he's seen with attending a movie premiere in London last night.

The boys will split their time between London where daddy resides, and NYC with Madonna.

Lourdes is not part of the deal since she's not his biological, so she stays in NY with mommy.

A British judge just a few hours ago, granted divorce decrees to 17 couples, including a "Ciccone M L v Ritchie G S."

The decree said the divorce was granted on the basis of Guy’s "unreasonable behavior," but did not elaborate. Rumors have it that Ritchie objected to Madonna adopted a Malawi girl.  Source

By now you know that Jermaine Dupri couldn't make it to Pure Atlanta last night because he was in Dubai with Janet Jackson for the Grand Opening of the world's most expensive hotel, the $1.5 billion dollar Atlantis on the man-made Palm Jumeirah island. I know you've all seen pictures of it.

According to JustJared, more than 2000 celebrities from all over the world traveled to Dubai to indulge in the wasteful excess, including A-listers like Charlize Theron, Robert De Niro, Lindsay Lohan, Kylie Minogue, Lily Allen, Michael Jordan, Denzel Washington, Mary-Kate Olsen and even Oprah. B-listers Wesley Snipes and Chris Tucker were also there.

International singing star Kylie was paid a whopping $4 million to perform for one hour. The Grand Opening party for the ultra luxurious Palm Jumeirah man-made island cost more than $32 million and the party guests were worth billions in personal wealth. I'm sure security for the party was ridiculous.

Rapper Remy Ma wants to be out of jail by Christmas. So after exhausting all appeals while serving her 8-year prison sentence, she's now accusing the judge who presided over her trial of making mistakes.

Remy, real name Reminisce Smith, 26, was sentenced in May on charges of assault with a deadly weapon, weapon possession and attempted coercion for shooting Makeda Barnes Joseph in the abdomen in July after accusing her of stealing money out of her purse.

Now, in new documents filed on behalf of the star, her lawyers claim the trial was riddled with mistakes by the judge. They pinpoint four key indications of the judge's alleged faults, including the claim Smith was "unfairly prejudiced" by the inclusion of details relating to an August 2007 attack on a male alleged to be Barnes Joseph's boyfriend, which Smith is said to have instigated.

Her attorneys have also accused the judge of "wrongly instructing the jury" over Barnes Joseph's testimony, after the jurors were told that if they believed it to be "truthful and accurate", it would satisfy the proof "beyond a reasonable doubt".
Smith's legal team want the sentence overturned and the star released before the seasonal holidays.

Smith is currently serving time at Bedford Hills Correctional Facility for Women in New York as she awaits the appeal. Source

A brawl involving more than 100 people broke out during a funeral for a one-year-old baby boy in Wisconsin.

An argument between the family members and mourners of Christopher Thomas Jr. over who was responsible for the child's death, escalated into a wild melee on Wednesday with mourners throwing chairs and knocking over flower arrangements.

Several people grabbed hold of the casket to keep it from being turned over.

Christopher was beaten to death while in foster care. His foster mother, Crystal P. Keith, is charged with his death. Keith is also charged with torturing Christopher's 2-year-old sister who remains hospitalized.

Keith is married to the brother of the baby's father.

Christopher was taken from his biological mother by child protective services and placed in foster care back in March.

During the emotional service, mourners set upon the child's biological father, Christopher Thomas, 22, who suffered a gash to his face during the fight and was taken away by ambulance.

The boy and his 2-year-old sister had been in several foster homes since they were taken from their mother, Candace Glover, 23, who also attended the funeral.

Alaska governor Sarah Palin can't catch a break. Palin visited a turkey farm in Anchorage, Alaska yesterday to pardon a turkey in time for Thanksgiving.

Following the pardoning, Palin was interviewed by a news crew while a farm worker behind Palin was busy slaughtering another turkey.

Well, it is a turkey farm and that's what they do there. But common sense should have prevailed and the turkey killing should have halted at least until the cameras were gone.

Don't watch this video if you feel any kind of way about turkeys. It isn't pleasant to watch. And the devilish grin on the man's face doesn't help any.

The story behind Rihanna's new tat is a burning issue for some Rihanna fans. Rihanna Daily has the scoop:

"It’s tribal," she said at the charity’s annual Snowflake Lighting Ceremony in New York’s Grand Army Plaza. “It represents strength and love.”

Rihanna also revealed that she got the exotic-looking tat while in New Zealand for a recent tour date.

"It’s their traditional way of tattooing," she said of the Maori-inspired geometric design. “I always wanted [one].” But even for a tattoo enthusiast like Rihanna, this particular method had one big drawback: “It hurt like hell!" (Source

According to family members, the father of Green Bay Packers wide receiver Donald Driver was beaten by Houston, Texas, police officers as they arrested him for outstanding traffic warrants.

A family member who was with Marvin Driver Jr. when officers arrested him, say police took him behind a gas station. As they beat him and forced him to swallow something, the officers told Driver he was "going to see Jesus," according to relatives and community activist Quanell Evans, who identified himself as Quanell X.

A police spokesman released this statement on Thursday: "About 1:30am on Nov. 17, officers placed [Driver] in the back seat of a patrol unit and transported him to our southeast jail... Upon arrival to the jail, our officers stated Mr. Driver was unresponsive."

Paramedics were contacted and Mr. Driver was transported to a local hospital where he remains in a coma with blunt force trauma injuries.

Rihanna is everywhere these days (especially now that Beyonce's double album has dropped). Last night she hosted the launch of Gucci's Tattoo Heart Collection to Benefit UNICEF at Gucci's 5th Avenue store in NYC. Rihanna wore a smart red Gucci tunic dress with Gucci boots.

And on the same evening, Rihanna attended UNICEF's 2008 Snowflake Lighting symbolizing the beginning of gift-giving season at Grand Army Plaza in NY. Isn't she Grand?!

Meanwhile, not too far from where Princess Rihanna was holding court, her humble servant Beyonce attended the unveiling of Seventeen Magazine's 2008 Style Star of the Year at the Hearst Tower in NY. We wonder who is the star of the year? Is it Rihanna?

Mary J. Blige was decked out in Louis Vuitton and Gucci at Gucci's Tattoo Heart Collection to Benefit UNICEF dinner at The Plaza in NYC last night. We hope PETA didn't throw flour on her fur like they did Lindsay Lohan because Mary is no Lindsay Lohan! Mary will stomp a mud hole in that ass if they fluck with her LV fur piece!

Poor Beyonce. First Knaye West clowns her by saying Rihanna is the best thing that ever happened to her. And now her album, which dropped Tuesday, will fail to do the numbers she expected in the first week.

According to, both Beyonce and her dad have their hearts set on her double album selling 750,000-1 Mil. But first day estimates put the sales for I Am... Sasha Fierce at a paltry 500K-550K. Way too low for Bey and Matt's standards:

"I think we'll sell 750,000 to 1 million copies [in the] first week," says Music World head Mathew Knowles, Beyoncé's father and manager. "I know that's ambitious with the declining market, but Beyoncé is so focused on transitioning from pop star to icon that we're paying attention to every single detail."

"I want to be an icon," Beyoncé says. "That's why this is a double-album. One side has songs that are more mainstream and another has my more traditional R&B songs for my fans who've been there the whole time. Some of it sounds like Barbra Streisand, Karen Carpenter and the Beatles around the 1970s." Source

I didn't know a double album is required for icon status. Can someone explain that to me?

From KPTH FOX44 News:

A bogus e-mail about a number of well-known businesses closing is landing in inboxes all over the city. Reporter Samantha Suttle clears up the confusion.

On Wednesday, I called more than a dozen local stores and they all had the same response: "Where is this coming from?"

The e-mails in question alert shoppers of businesses that are closing or are scheduled to close. The e-mail suggests you not use credit cards at the listed stores or buy gift cards there either. It claims the gift cards will not be honored after the holidays. However, many of the managers at these Sioux City stores say this information is simply not true and is damaging to business. Some of the stores listed include Eddie Bauer, Talbots, J. Jill, Sprint/Nextel, Home Depot and JCPenney.

The Talbot and J. Jill companies have even issued a statement: "We do not plan to close all Talbots and J. Jill brand stores and there is absolutely no concern in buying a gift card from either brand this holiday season... Talbots and J. Jill remain open in Sioux City at Lakeport Commons."

So the best advice I came across -- don't believe everything you read. Source

Yesterday while browsing my favorite blogs looking for content to post, I happened upon this post by Style Razzi.

The post quoted excerpts from an interview with Lisa Wu-Hartwell's husband, Ed. In it, he discusses his relationship with Lisa and Keith Sweat's sons Justin and Jordan:

"Me and my sons have a great relationship. I tell everyone I have three sons. They call me dad; I never say my stepkids, they are my sons."

But what was even more bizarre than a man claiming another man's sons was Ed's response to the question, "Do you have a good relationship with their father, Keith Sweat?":

Not at all. The reason is because [when I started dating] Lisa there was a lot that I had to stop from happening. I had to lay down the law, man to man. Have I tried to work out some things and put our differences to the side for the sake of the kids? Absolutely. I don't like to play games.

I don't know Keith Sweat that well, but I was certain that he didn't take kindly to Hartwell's implications that he had to be put in his place. So just to be sure, I reached out to a source close to Sweat's camp to inquire if Ed Hartwell really did lay down the law to Keith Sweat.

Here's what the source, who asked not to identified said:

I don't understand how anybody can call anybody out or put their foot down to the custodial parent who has all the rights! What would he give a basis to lay down the law based on? How does Keith respond to that? Ed Hartwell has no rights over Keith's kids. None! Zero! He has no merit. [Hartwell] gets to see the kids because he happens to be married to Keith's ex-wife.

Here is Keith's statement: Keith is raising his kids to be normal, well-adjusted young men. He is busy raising his children 24/7. He is totally responsible for all aspects of his kids' lives: education, health, welfare, insurance, college education. He chooses the clothes, he chooses where they vacation. He drops them off and picks them up from school every day. The courts gave him unilateral rights regarding his children. They didn't give anybody else rights. If Lisa wants to take the boys out of Atlanta, she has to get permission from Keith. She picks them up on the 1st and the 3rd weekend of every month. Those are her rights. Ed has NO rights.

In this situation, Keith is going to be the bigger person. Keith has the fastest growing syndicated radio show now in 42 markets. He has two television shows coming out. He performs in concerts. What is Ed doing? I hear him and Lisa say he played in the NFL for 7 years. Is that factually correct? He played for the Falcons for three years and he was cut from there, cut from Cincinnati, cut from Oakland. He was injured for three years. So did he play for seven years? Keith has been in the business for 21 years, but he's been singing since he was a little boy. Keith doesn't try to inflate his career or himself.

My source reminded me of our last conversation when he told me that if the show lasted long enough, we would see the real Lisa Wu come out. Apparently, it is rumored that Lisa strikes Kim either on camera or on the set of the Reunion show which airs on Nov. 25. "You're seeing the real Lisa [on the Reunion show]," he said.

He indicated that Keith is sympathetic to Lisa despite the fact that Lisa and Hartwell can't keep Keith Sweat's name out of their mouths. "Keith is not going to get in the gutter with them," said the source. "Keith is actually trying to save her as the mother of his kids. Because his kids will be affected by all of this." According to the insider, he has never seen Lisa Wu do drugs, and he could see why an accusation of that sort might make Lisa upset enough to go after Kim.

Although the source didn't indicate this, Lisa's violent tendencies might be part of the reason why she lost custody of her sons to Sweat. "Lisa does not handle very well any kind of criticism," said the source. "Lisa has made these statements about flipping over sofas and beating people up. We really don't have to say or do anything at this point. Lisa is Lisa. The facts speak for themselves."

Tennessee, infamous for being the city where Martin Luther King lost his life in 1968 will now go down in history as the city that placed the first Black President in the criminal system.

On November 4th an over zealous City of Memphis Public Works employee, "Gene Soucy" cited "Barack Obama" personally and not the local campaign office for the placement of campaign signs in areas that the city states they should not be.

Obama court date was set for yesterday and after the President -elect did not appear a bench warrant was about to be rendered in General Sessions Div 14 by a judge that was sitting in for Judge Potter who was absent from his bench on yesterday.

The word of this foolish act got to attorney Javier Bailey who also is a Democratic State party member who went in and got the date reset for December 8, 2008 at 1:30 PM.

On the very same day that he became President of the United States of America where he was voted into office by millions,He also received a booking number "08725976."

I spoke with Public Works Director Dwan Gilliom who stated that he had been expecting my call and was about to refer me to Toni Holliman the spokesperson for mayor Willie Herenton. But as our conversation continue we both found that there no need to call with Holliman because I had more information about the matter then either of them. Gilliom was unaware that President -Elect Barack Obama now had a booking number and wondered why Soucy didn't confer with him on the matter.
