They Finally Got the Bastard
I’m not sure why it took so long to arrest this character for prescription abuse. It’s about time law enforcement start cracking down on unscrupulous doctors who finance their lavish lifestyles by taking cash to fill unnecessary prescriptions for their wealthy patients. I wish I could have seen Howard K. Stern’s arrogant face when they slapped the cuffs on him.

Anna Nicole Smith’s boyfriend Howard K. Stern and two psychiatrists supplied the former Playboy playmate with excessive amounts of drugs before she died of an accidental overdose two years ago, authorities said Thursday.
The 40-year-old Stern, Sandeep Kapoor, 40, and Khristine Eroshevich, 61, were hit with felony counts of conspiracy, obtaining fraudulent prescriptions and unlawfully prescribing a controlled substance.
California Attorney General Jerry Brown said they “furnished thousands of prescription pills to Ms. Smith, including opiates, benzodiazepines, and other controlled and noncontrolled substances, often for no legitimate medical purpose.
“There is ample evidence that Dr. Eroshevich and Dr. Kapoor violated their ethical obligations as physicians, while Mr. Stern funneled highly addictive drugs to Ms. Smith,” Brown said.
The doctors falsified prescriptions for Smith and were guilty of “obtaining, delivering and administering these prescription drugs,” he said.

Mom: Chris Brown Is Not Changing Management Team
Chris Brown’s mom Joyce Hawkins has issued a statement denying earlier reports that her son was replacing his management and legal team.
It’s interesting that Joyce didn’t directly address the rumors of Tina’s alleged inappropriate relationship with her son.
Also, TMZ reports that Brown’s attorney Mark Geragos has requested an unscheduled closed door hearing for Mar. 23.
As we told you earlier, Rihanna is expected to take the stand during Brown’s April 6 arraignment and take the full blame for the violent altercation between herself and Brown last month.
This despite the fact that she told police Brown was the aggressor and had threatened to kill her.

Chris Brown’s mother and co-manager tells Usmagazine.com there won’t be a change in his representation.
“Reports that Chris is looking to replace his team, including [lawyer] Mark Geragos, [manager] Tina Davis and [publicist] Mike Sitrick, are false,” Joyce Hawkins says in a statement. “There are only two people who could make a change at that level on Chris’ behalf: his business attorney Kenny Meiselas and me — and neither of us were the source of this information.”
The New York Post reported Thursday the singer — who was charged with two felonies after allegedly assaulting Rihanna — was “upset” with his whole team for not letting him apologize earlier.
TMZ.com also reported Wednesday that Brown was intimate with Davis, who is 20 years older, and that she sent him the three-page text message that instigated the attack — which she denied in a statement.
“To the contrary, Kenny told the media outlet that broke this item, that the information they had was false,” Hawkins continues. “So there is no room for doubt or misunderstanding, let me state unequivocally, that no change is planned or being made with respect to Mark Geragos, Tina Davis or Mike Sitrick. We are very pleased with the work they are doing.”
Brown is due to be arraigned April 6.
Correction: Kandi Did Not Buy Her Own Ring
Singer/songwriter Kandi Burrus wants you to know that she is sticking by her man despite all the allegations leveled against her husband-to-be. Speaking through a trusted friend yesterday, Kandi expressed dismay at this blogger for posting the emails sent in by women who claim to have had intimate relations (or know of women who have) with her fiance.
She denied being on the warpath and she reiterated that she did not pay for her own engagement ring as had been alleged by a source. Her words were, “ask anybody who knows me: I’m too cheap with my money to buy my own ring.”
Kandi says she holds onto her millions by being thrifty. She also stated her engagement ring did not cost $100,000 as had been reported.
But most importantly, she wanted you to know that she is sticking by her man through his darkest hour, and she fully intends to marry him during an episode of the upcoming 2nd season of Real Housewives of Atlanta set to air on Bravo network this Fall.
