Beyonce sounding horrible on Dave Letterman show (she has NO excuse this time)
I know some of you have seen this already, but bear with me. Some of my readers probably don’t watch The David Letterman Show, and therefore weren’t witnesses to this horrible spectacle last night. Beyonce attempted to prove all her music critics wrong by singing without a backing track — and she fell flat on her face! Let’s face it, Beyonce is a burlesque singer who shakes her azz and slides across the stage on her back. We don’t expect anymore from her than that.

My sister saw her this morning on GMA and (without knowing about the backlash Bey has been receiving) said that she did not sound good. She said when comparing her to singers like Deborah Cox, Whitney Houston and the likes. The girl just doesn’t stand up.
I saw the clip of her crying talking about her mother. I really hate the fact she gets all stupid when she expresses emotion. “I feel so silly crying.” You are human Bey. Stop trying to be so damn robotic.

There was a lot of movement for that slow song to me as well. She didn’t sound all that bad but it is what I expected. I don’t think she can sing so what she did was acceptable.
@Teecee – if you want all the love for Bey you are right you are on the WRONG site. Try youngens blk and fab for love. We straight tell it how it is here (at least in Bey’s case) cause the Pres can’t get a break. LOL…
I don’t know who told her the song was good for her? She needs to stick to the formula that’s been working for her so far, booty shaking songs about being “up in the club” or “dropping a man” , one mid tempo song with a catchy refrain and one ballad about being in love, not this here crap.

Obsessed” is in theatres tomorrow and rumor has it Idris Elba has bailed out of all press due to early buzz that the film might be career suicide. This week, Elba did not attend the New York City press junket, canceled on BET’s 106 & Park and supposedly he will not be at the red carpet premiere tonight in New York City. Elba’s reps say the actor has been sick all this week.
I say he is NOT happy at all about this movie but then again why he even sign the contract for this flop movie..
Get it together Bey!! How can you keep your public persona of being perfect and robotic, if you do shows that aren’t perfect?? Boooo!!!!

I saw another trailer of the movie and as good as the title, topic and kick ass scenes are it is ruined because Beyonce can’t act. To me Beyonce is like Janet in “Why Did I Get Married”? I’ll give Janet a break she was not needed in that movie, In Beys new movie she is the star. They should have put Ghetto Vivica or Krazy Halle. I can see Halle going postal to protect her family from a stalker.
Her wigs/weaves irk the he!! out of me :=( she has to much money for her hair to always look a shipwreck mess!

I think everybody is more interested in seeing how beyaki acting skills have improve because the story has been told 20 million different times but I can tell you and save you from payin your hard recession money on this piece of crap IM still mad at Idris not having a mustache… ugggh!! lol!
Letterman called her album “Sarah Fierce”, funniest thing EVER. The performance wasnt horrible but it wanst great, Halo should have gone to Leona Lewis as planned. The Tyra Banks facial expressions were not working, along with the fast dancing, along with the wind blowing, along with the spit strings that hangs from her mouth every time she sings. Beyonce should rest for 2-3 years because at this rate she is slowly diminishing. During the interview it seemed like she was uncomfortable being around people, so she kept laughing and looking at the bottom of the stage at her people like “help me”.

I was ready to see Idris yesterday on 106. I am not sure if he knew Bey had been cast when he signed on or not but if he did he should have walked away then and kept it moving. I guess he needed or wanted that paycheck.

Didn’t see the performance but wanted to comment on Idris. I LOVE me some Idris but IF he is skipping out on supporting this movie after making it that is plain wrong. Whether you like Bey or not, I am betting that this movie based on her Stans alone is going to be #1. Idris also isn’t a well known actor outside of the black community and like he said Bey and her team is a machine. I’m sure if this is the truth he’s going to burn some big bridges doing this.
Now, I will wait on this movie to go to DVD because as good as it looked like it could’ve been, Bey and her BIG southern accent killed it for me. Does she not believe she needs speech lessons? Every movie she’s been in she’s had the same accent. Part of being an actress is knowing what accent goes with the part. You don’t hear Idris accent, why do I know it’s Bey if you close your eyes and just listen? If you’re a good actress and serious about your craft you’d fix that.
I think she did better on David Letterman than she did on Today show lip synching earlier

Shauny, I just said the same thing to one of my classmates on Facebook. If Bey was really serious about acting, she would definitely take some voice lessons to rid herself of the thick accent. I agree, you do not hear Idris’ accent in his acting. Like many people here AND other blogs, Beyonce needs to disaapear for a minute. She is way overexposed, and simply put, people are sick and tired of her. I love Idris, but I will wait for this to come on DVD. Now, Jamie Foxx, he will get my money this weekend-if I don’t take my son to see “Monsters vs Aliens.”

IF this performance was suppose to squash the rumors that she’s not the best singer, NOT!! The beginning was especially shaky, and the other parts of the song was not horrible, but it wasn’t spectacular either. She didn’t sound the same. You can tell she left the backtracking off.
I definitely will not be seeing this film. She’s a horrible actress.

It was different but she can sing and sing live for sure..If you were listening she was showing her ranges and they were great! The moving is a little distracting but that just adds to showing she can really sing, some artist cant move and sing at the same time but she can and sounds great with it…
Beyonce can sing; no doubt. She was good and the wind blowing is because she gets really hot or something cause she always have the wind blowing if you ever noticed.
