Among the nominees for People’s Choice Awards 2010 are singers Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus & Demi Lovato. Unfortunately, Lil Wayne, Kanye West and others who normally would have made the cut, didn’t make the list. That’s too bad.
What If Lil Wayne Does Go To Jail?
Hip Hop troll Lil Wayne has a court date today in NYC for DNA testing to tie him to a gun found on board his tour bus. The question of what IF Lil Wayne does go to jail is popping up more frequently in conference rooms of record labels throughout the industry.
What if Lil Wayne is convicted on gun charges and sent up the river like his brethren T.I., Shyne who is being deported, Lil Kim, Foxy Brown, Lil Boosie, and others? Will the music industry feel his absence? Fo sure, the many groupies who line up to receive his sperm will likely feel his absence. They will have to count on another sucker rapper to knock them up and pay their bills for the next 18 years.

T.I. — It only bolstered his street cred…or lessened it if you’re of the school of thought that believes that he cut a deal. Whatever the case, a year and change in jail is nothing but a break in between albums. Highlights From Kandi Burrus’ Live Chat Last Night
If you missed last night’s Live Chat with former Xscape member, Grammy award winning singer/songwriter, and now tv personality Kandi Burruss, here are the highlights.
We asked Kandi if the drama on Real Housewives of Atlanta was tweaked by the directors.
“You can’t make up some of that mess we do and say,” she laughed. For example, Kandi mentioned a fight with cast member Kim Zolciak, which occurred off-camera before the production team had a chance to set up. Kandi said the directors asked her and Kim to talk about the fight while the cameras were rolling.
“They put you in the best position for drama to happen. But it’s not forced or fake,” said Kandi.
She also discussed DeShawn Snow, the first RHOA cast member to be booted from the show last season. Kandi suggested that DeSahwn’s stoicism and no-nonsense personality may have done her in.
” They picked the right people for the show. I feel like maybe that’s why DeShawn got kicked off because she never gave them the vibe that they could push her buttons. For reality tv to work, you have to be yourself and not be afraid of criticism.
If you’re too guarded, it’s boring. It’s going to look like your guarded. People like Kim [Zolciak] who have a crazy personality are better suited for reality tv. She’s hilarious! Just being around her [and] the stuff she says, it’s just hilarious.”
We asked Kandi about the show’s protrayal of black men in Atlanta as feminine, purse carrying trannies, and lazy men who live primarily off their bread-winning wives.
Kandi was quick to defend Lisa Wu Hartwell’s deadbeat husband, former NFL star Ed Hartwell. “Give him a chance,” she said. “He just left his job with the NFL. He’s working on some things right now. He’s doing his thing.”
Ludacris Sued For Legal Fees
Don’t let the bling and the leased cars fool you: everybody is hurting in this recession. No one is ballin’ out of control like that anymore.
Especially not one of hip hop’s wealthiest rappers, Ludacris. I recall a story about how, after one of her Luda’s stripper friends got finished servicing him, he thanked her, then laid two crisp Benjamins on her nightstand and walked out. I guess those days are over.
Ludacris is noted for his philanthropic works through his non-profit Ludacris Foundation. As previously reported Luda made headlines for his call to action at the National Press club luncheon before his foundation’s annual benefit dinner. Now in light of his plight to give out money freely, a team of attorneys are taking him to court for unpaid legal fees.
Carlton Fields P.A. is suing Cris and his foundation for $61,820. The law firm maintains that it defended him during a 2007 case for personal negligence and injuries. That case involved Ludacris, his foundation and his mother, Roberta J. Shields, versus Lawrence J. Hyde.The law firm began representation of the MC in March 2008 but ceased legal services in April 2009 after Cris failed to pay his outstanding balance.
Amber Rose Saves Kanye’s Life (On Twitter)
According to online reports, Kanye West died in a car accident — at least on Twitter.com.
“RIP Kanye West” is the #1 trending topic right now on twitter. Some say Kanye started the trend himself, except that he doesn’t have a Twitter page. Others say his beard, dyke Amber Rose started the trend as a way to boost record sales. Except that she doesn’t have an album out.
So the only explanation left is that someone started the trending topic to properly bury Knaye’s dead career, which is fitting considering he will never work in this business again after showing his azz by grabbing the mic from country music star and actress Taylor Swift during the VMAs last month.
Amber took to Twitter last night to try to save Kaney by starting a trending topic herself titled #longliveKnaye or something like that. Poor thing thinks she’s a real celebrity and often forgets that her bald head is only known because of the coattail she’s riding on.
Speaking of Amber, she must have threatened her ex-girlfriend Trevon something seriously because home girl refuses to answer any of my emails. Is she that shook or did Amber buy her silence? I guess we’ll never know.

Shakur Proves Drake Bats for the Other Team?
According to Harpito, Shakur, Drake’s leading lady from “The Best I Ever Had” video called up “The Morning After” to clear up the rumors that she is also his leading lady in real life. Online reports stated that she got her start as a high class escort, she was dating Drake, and let Kanye West tap that. But Shakur denied all the allegations and rumors and discussed the return of King Magazine, which got a much-needed infusion of cash.
All of which proves that Drake just might be the gay rapper that everyone says he is if this hawt chick is trying desperately to distance herself from him.
