White Rapper Knocks Alicia, Jay Z’s ‘Empire’ Out of the Top Spot
Rapper Ke$ha’s debut single “Tik Tok” knocks Alicia Keys and Jay Z’s “Empire State of Mind” out of the top spot on charts.
Both tunes are club favorites, but “Tik Tok” has a beat that makes you want to get up and move something. “Empire” slips to 2nd place after ruling the top of the charts for five consecutive weeks.

I think this song is hilarious and admittedly don’t change the station (when I’m actually listening to something besides NPR) when its playing.

In another story, a group of poor folks were about to whip a Pastor’s azz because he did not have any free toys for them. He tried to explain that Toys For Tots had a shortage of toy donations and were unable to deliver any toys to the 24/7 Church. The Pastor had to call the cops on those fools. WT__?

@13 TLC always has those shows about super-obese people and I can’t stand them. Those huge people want people to have sympathy for them and I just can’t. No one made them eat all of that food. So I seriously doubt I will watch it, but it must be a market for it somewhere because TLC stays with a program about a fat person.

@AM & mirsmommy, abt the girl on the phone. I usta jump to that conclusion too, but life experience* has taught me to give more consideration when I make assumptions like, “You must not be too needy.” I work for the welfare dept. and when I first started I usta see chics comin’ cell phones, nails/hair done etc…and while I try not to be judgemental, I’m human & can’t really help what comes to mind, only how I chose (or not) to process the info. On a personal level I’ve had ppl close to me who had kid/s who have cell phones…and yes “if you just cut that $60 cell phone bill out maybe you’d have some extra money” BUT really what is $60 gonna do???? If you have a teen that has an active social life a phone is a must! (Again speaking from what I’ve seen) sometimes its the absent father who may not do anything else, but he’ll pay the phone bill; sometimes theres a lil hustle goin’ on to get the bill paid…maybe the gurl does hair…My point is, ppl may appear to be doin’ swell, but you never know what type “ish happens” thing may have just occured, such as car repairs, which may put them in the spot to need to come get the free stuff. I’m just sayin’
*Not my own experiences, cause my lil gurl is only 10…so she ain’t gettin’ no phone, matter how much she wants & my parents are willin’ to get it…anywhere she needs to be I take her. No phones til you start makin’ your own moves!
