Lil Wayne’s Sentencing Postponed Until Monday, Mar. 8
Rapper Lil Wayne probably can’t believe his good fortune. A basement fire shut down the Manhattan courthouse where he was to be sentenced yesterday. It was reported that the sentencing would take place today. But, now, according to TMZ.com:
Lil Wayne will not be going to jail today — dude’s check-in date was just pushed back again … for the 3rd time!!!
If you’ve been following the saga — Wayne was originally supposed to go to jail a few weeks ago … but the judge cut him a break so the rapper could swap out his diamond teeth for a less expensive set.
Then — he was supposed to check in yesterday, until a fire broke out in the courthouse and everyone was sent home.
Now, the judge has decided to once again push back Wayne’s court date so more repairs can be made to the courthouse.
According to the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office — Wayne will be back on Monday … unless some other crazy, unexpected thing delays the case again.

Once you get to a point where you are READY do to get this over with..all of the delays don’t feel good…do you guys think he is like “YEA” I have some extra days..IDK..what do you think..I know I would be like..d*mn, let this begin already so I can get this over with..

This is such BS. I work for the court and trust me, unless the ENTIRE courthouse is shut down, they don’t just continue random hearings…If this was John Smith, he’d be sentenced in another courtroom. CTFO. It’s bad enough he will do less than a year bid on his charge when the regular Joe Blow does the max. All I can say is if your bank account isn’t screaming seven figures and you aren’t newsworthy, don’t break the law because “their rules” don’t apply to everybody.

Great. Now he can reshoot that Windows Movie Maker video that Nivea’s team threw together or maybe they should take the footage and use iMovie or Final Cut Pro with some special effects and re-edit it.

I don’t think anybody is in a rush to go to jail. I think its good he has a few more days to spend with his children tho.

for anyone who live is California, the Pacific Gas and Electric Company is hiring big time right now for their call centers starting at $26.00 an hour.
They may have a lot more fires now that they’ve led people to believe that’s all it takes to BUY time (off).
this just in: March 8, 2010, Lil wayne’s sentencing will be pushed back again because the judge’s daughter will be sick, causing the judge to exit work early that day. the hearing will be pushed back March 15th, and at that time, mr. weezy will get 30 days before his sentence begins. the court has allegedly ruled that mr. weezy has the constitutional right to shave his own dreads, or employ the services of a well trained hair professional of his choosing to complete this daunting task for him.
Once mr. weezy disposes of said dreads and hair particles, he will then have up to 7 business days to report to a court near him, depending on where his tour has taken him, for a close circuit tv meeting with the honorable judge youvegot2bfckinkiddingmewiththissh!t.
