Premiere: Basketball Wives
Last night was the premiere of Shaunie O’Neal’s much anticipated “Basketball Wives” on VH1. First and foremost, there are no wives on “Basketball Wives.” There aren’t even any fiancee’s on “Basketball Wives.”
“B. Wives” is the brainchild of O’Neal, who is best known as the scorned ex-wife and baby mama of Shaquille O’Neal. She is now a star in her own right after beating a playa at his own game. Shaunie thought it would make good TV if some of her other scorned and jilted ex-girlfriends of NBA stars told their stories.
Basically, Shaunie (center) has assembled a cast of ex-wives, ex-girlfriends and ex-jump offs of NBA stars. All except one has been dumped, jilted and cheated on by their NBA meal tickets and they see the show as their one final ticket to redemption.
My favorite cast members are Jennifer Williams (far left), ex-wife of NBA player Eric Williams, who is a successful real estate agent and owner of a women’s fitness center. I also like Evelyn Lozada (3rd from right) because she’s real and she wears her emotions on her sleeve.
Lozada is also a successful business woman who owns the upscale Dulce shoe boutique in Coral Gables and Dulceshoes.net.
Dwight Howard’s baby mama, Royce Reed (2nd from left), is cast as the bad girl of the bunch and I don’t like her already. The youngest cast member, Gloria Gowan (far right), 24, is the only one who is actually with an NBA player. She has 16-month-old twins with her fiance Matt Barnes.

T-Pain & Sean Hannity: Not all rappers are Kool Aid drinkers
Rapper T-Pain and Fox News’ Sean Hannity bond in this short video clip taken at the Southern Republican Leadership Conference in New Orleans over the weekend. At the end of the clip, Sean persuades T-Pain to say “Conservative victory 2010!”
My regular readers know that Hannity is referring to the November (2010) elections when some Democrats who are up for election will be sent packing by their constituents.
Many conservatives believe the American people will make their voices heard in November, sending a strong message to Obama and the Democratic party who voted Obama’s unconstitutional health care bill into law.
Who knew that T-Pain was such a staunch Republican supporter with conservative views? I thought all rappers happily drank the Kool aid? It’s good to see that at least one rapper knows the Kool Aid is tainted!
Monica Announces Tour With Trey Songz
R&B, which was on life support, just got a much needed shot in the arm with the announcement of a tour featuring two of the biggest R&B acts in music! Mo made the announcement on Atlanta’s Fox 5 news. The official tour doesn’t start until August. But the two singers are doing spot dates right now.
“Kevin Liles Has always been supportive of me and my career for a long time now,” said Mo via cell phone from her custom tour bus on the road last night.
“He actually manages Trey. So he asked would I like to come out on tour and to do some dates prior. I told him I would be honored because what it does is it gives me a chance to gel and learn how to make things work smoothly before the tour actually starts.”
Last night Monica and Trey performed to a packed house in Aiken, S. Carolina and attended an after party in Spartanburg, SC.
Tomorrow’s show is in Elizabeth City, N. Carolina. Monica was really excited to be on the road with Trey. “It’s amazing The energy is incredible!,” said Mo.
Yesterday, Mo tweeted these photos of a brand new $126,000 Porsche Panamera S given to her by her cousin, Polow Da Don, in celebration of the success of her #1 album, Still Standing.
I’m not really a car person. But I will put two new car seats in the back for my boys. It’s a really, really nice car. Polow just wanted to surprise me. It was the best surprise ever! It really made me feel good to know that he thought that much of me. We have a lot of cousins! Our bond is like brother and sister really. The funny things is I didn’t even get to touch it! I had to come to Aiken, so they’re sending it to the rim shop to get some white on white 22-inch rims with with hot pink brake pads. We’re going to keep it girly!

Palin Fires Back At Obama
Sarah Palin fired back at Barack Obama today during her speech at the SRLC.
Obama had dismissed Palin’s earlier criticism of his no nukes policy saying, “Last I checked, Sarah Palin’s not much of an expert on nuclear issues.”
But Palin threw the knockout punch today saying, “Obama, with all the vast nuclear experience that he acquired as a ‘community organizer.” LOL!! I’m still laughing!
I’m sure that Obama’s advisors (the ones he never listens to) will advise Obama not to respond to Palin’s taunts. But he will respond because his massive ego demands a response.
Trey Songz Got Dissed
R&B singer Trey Songz is enjoying a resurgence in popularity these days now that Chris Brown’s career is officially dead in the water.
Trey’s label and management has worked overtime to dispel the gay rumors that continue to plague him. But it’s Trey’s own actions that will eventually prove the rumors true or false. He knows he can only do so many photo shoots with his shirt off before his fans start to catch on.
So to combat the persistent rumors, Trey has been hanging out lately with a curvy LSLH Cheetah waitress who, I have learned, is VERY popular with industry men. She seems to know a lot of guys, I’m told. I don’t know her name yet. But I’ll find out when I make my regular pilgrimage to the popular titty bar this weekend for dinner.
According to a credible source, Trey and his waitress/beard showed up at another popular strip club, Onyx on Tuesday night. My spies tell me that Trey and his boys were turned around at the door when they tried to get into Onyx for free. “You don’t know who I am?,” Trey allegedly asked the door man. When they were told the cover charge was $40 each, they dipped out.
Here’s the interesting part: Trey and the woman arrived at the club in separate cars.
Obama to Palin: What do you know about nukes anyway?
Yesterday, U.S. president Barack Obama sat down for an interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos following his controversial no nukes decision. Basically, Obama is keeping his promise not to develop any more nuclear weapons even though our enemies will continue full steam ahead with their nuclear weapons programs.
In response to Obama’s decision, former Republican VP candidate Sarah Palin said Obama was like a child in a playground who says ‘punch me in the face, I’m not going to retaliate.’
“I really have no response to that. The last I checked, Sarah Palin is not much of an expert on nuclear issues,” Obama told Stephanopoulos.
But does someone need to be an expert on nuclear issues to know that you don’t leave your country wide open to attack?
“What I would say to [Republican critics] is, is that if the secretary of defense and the chairman of the joint chiefs of staff are comfortable with it, I’m probably going to take my advice from them and not from Sarah Palin,” Obama said defensively.
But as Hot Air points out, his own defense secretary may not be comfortable with his decision. Secretary of Defense Robert M. Gates (the one that Obama said he would listen to over Palin) has already stated publicly that the U.S. would be crazy not to have nuclear weapons as a deterrent to other countries that are a threat to us.
In a speech given on October 28, 2008, Gates said:
“we must have a deterrent capacity that makes it clear that challenging the United States in the nuclear arena – or with other weapons of mass destruction – could result in an overwhelming, catastrophic response.”
