Remember when we used to poke fun at singer Janelle Monáe’s starchy personal attire? And now she’s the toast of Paris, France. Janelle, 25, arrived at the Chanel show wearing her signature black tuxedo look. The Chanel show is part of the Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2011, which runs through this week. Sherri Shepherd wants to fit into a size 2 wedding dress
In other unrealistic news: talk show host Sherri Shepherd is telling everyone she wants to fit into a size 2 dress for her upcoming nuptials. The 43-year-old co-host of TV’s ‘The View’ says she hasn’t started shopping for her wedding dress yet because she wants to drop enough pounds to fit into a “single-digit” wedding dress.
Sherri recently announced her engagement to TV writer Lamar Sally, who, reportedly, fully accepts her 5-year-old son from a previous marriage.
There is nothing wrong with losing a few pounds to please your man, but drastic weight loss is never advised. The trouble begins when you radically change your look despite the fact that your man doesn’t ask you to change anything for him.
Obviously, Sally is happy with Sherri at the weight that she is, or he wouldn’t be marrying her. And if he isn’t happy with her weight, then why is she marrying him?
It seems as though Sherri is self-obsessed with her body image, and as I wrote yesterday in my Medical Minute post on Body Image Disturbance — that is always a bad sign.

Troubled singer chris brown, 21, was spotted out & about at The Grove in LA last night accompanied by a couple of LSLH chicks. brown wore his favored accessory of the moment: his TI$A cognac MCM backpack.
The late Michael Jackson’s oldest brother Jackie Jackson, 59, accompanied Michael’s adopted son Prince Michael, who turns 14 in February, to watch the LA Lakers play the Utah Jazz at the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles yesterday. The Lakers defeated the Utah Jazz by the final score of 120-91. I guess Prince is at that awkward stage that we discussing in my Medical Minute post on Body Image Disturbance?

Obama’s SOTU: More Doublespeak and Contradictions
Did you watch President Obama’s State of the Union Address last night? Were you dissatisfied with Obama’s economic plan for the future of America? Don’t worry; you weren’t alone.

The ledger did not appear to be adding up Tuesday night when President Barack Obama urged more spending on one hand and a spending freeze on the other.
Obama spoke ambitiously of putting money into roads, research, education, efficient cars, high-speed rail and other initiatives in his State of the Union speech. He pointed to the transportation and construction projects of the last two years and proposed “we redouble these efforts.” He coupled this with a call to “freeze annual domestic spending for the next five years.”
But Obama offered far more examples of where he would spend than where he would cut, and some of the areas he identified for savings are not certain to yield much if anything.
For example, he said he wants to eliminate “billions in taxpayer dollars we currently give to oil companies.” Yet he made a similar proposal last year that went nowhere. He sought $36.5 billion in tax increases on oil and gas companies over the next decade, but Congress largely ignored the request, even though Democrats were then in charge of both houses of Congress.
BREAKING: Hawaii Gov. Admits No Birth Certificate On File for Obama in Hawaii
There was one debate that I never engaged in when it came to U.S. President Barack Hussein Obama: his birth status or whether he’s eligible to be president. As far as I was concerned, Obama is an American because his birth certificate is on file in Hawaii.
But now comes word that there may not be an original birth certificate on file in Hawaii for Obama after all.
According to online reports, new Hawaii governor Neil Abercombie admits that there is no original birth document with Obama’s name on it in Hawaii. This shocking news comes on the heels of Obama’s lukewarm State of the Union Address last night, in which he said basically nothing that we haven’t already heard.
Hawaii’s communications officer, Janice Okubo, confirmed Abercrombie’s statement by saying that the Registrar’s Office maintains a public collection of birth registrations and Obama’s name appears in them. However, it has long since been proven that Hawaii’s birth registration process includes foreign births when the parents claim a Hawaiian residence. A record of registration is not necessarily an indication of a Hawaiian birth under the provisions of HRS 338-17.7 and 17.8. READ MORE
Hosea Chanchez is Not Gay
‘The Game’ star Hosea Chanchez, who plays womanizing football player Malik, recently spoke to VIBE magazine about where he meets the ladies. And here I thought Hosea was Ghey.
Hosea, 29, told VIBE that the most likely place for him to meet a lady is at the airport. That makes sense. If she’s flying first class that means she either has a good job or a sponsor to spring for the expensive plane ticket — which still works out in your favor as long as her sponsor doesn’t find out about you.
“I wouldn’t meet her at a club,” says Hosea. “If you are probably in the club you probably aren’t the chick for me. I say airports because I spend a lot of time in them, so that’s a perfect place.”
What would be an ideal date for you?
“Completely submerging myself in ‘her’ world. I’m a people watcher/learner. I can’t be like movies and dinner, that’s not me. I love to do those things but I like to find out more about people. So for me it would be about coming to her house, watch movies, look through her DVD’s. I am nosy as hell by the way [laughs] see what she’s watching, check her search engine to see what she’s been up to, I’m just kidding. Seriously it would be about submerging myself into her world whatever that may be.”

“Sanaa Lathan, Halle Berry, I could go on but I don’t want to bore you [laughs] Zoe Saldana, and Scarlett Johansson.”
Obama hopes to win your love back tonight
U.S. President Barack Obama’s back is against the wall now that the shine has worn off his historic presidential election. After suffering a humiliating loss in the November primaries last year, Obama is gearing up to spend $1 billion — yes, that’s $1 billion — on his reelection campaign.
That reelection campaign will commence in earnest tonight when Obama takes the podium to give his nationally televised State of the Union Address.
According to ABC News, Obama “will more or less agree with Republicans” on limiting government spending. He is also expected to propose an earmark ban and a budget freeze tonight.
Those proposals are laughable when you consider the fact that Obama’s first bill was stuffed full of earmarks and political favors to his friends. Not to mention that the federal deficit has ballooned to $3.8 TRILLION under Obama’s watch.
Hotair.com points out that Obama has made the promise to cut earmarks “repeatedly since starting his presidential campaign in 2007.”
How many times do we have to be lied to before we give a man the boot?
The 2011 State of the Union Address begins at 9 p.m. Eastern Time and 6 p.m. Pacific Time. It is expected to last one hour.
