Suburban Couple Take Turns Beating 16-Year-Old Girl into Submission (video)
In case you thought this sort of abuse only occurred in Black or Hispanic households, think again.
A video showing a White couple taking turns beating their disabled 16-year-old daughter into submission has gone viral online.
In the cell phone video that was taken in 2004, Judge William Adams, of Rockport, Texas, repeatedly strikes Hillary Williams with a belt for playing a video game online without permission.
The grainy video was filmed secretly by Hillary, who recently uploaded the video to YouTube after years of abuse at the hands of her father. Hillary was diagnosed with ataxic cerebral palsy as a young girl. In a TV interview, Hillary said she hid the camera under a scarf on a dresser before the beatings took place.
Using profanity, Judge Williams orders Hillary to lay on her back on the bed. When she fails to comply, he whacks her several times with the belt. Williams is then joined by Hillary’s mother, Hallie, who brings her own belt.
Both parents yell at the girl and then take turns whipping her. “I’m gonna spank you on the butt,” announces Hillary’s mom. “You turn over like a 16-year-old and take it — like a grown woman!,” she yells.
Hillary Adams, now 23, said she had forgiven her mother and did not regret making the video public. It has now been viewed more than 2 million times.
Judge Williams told reporters he had done “nothing wrong”. He will not face child abuse charges… for obvious reasons.

Children are fragile and they don’t understand that level of violence. There’s no point in explaining to them why you are their protector but you’re beating them violently. I didn’t say I was in favor of it, I said it has happened to me and probably to most of us here. I’m a parent and I do believe in spanking but I have to say I have only spanked my child a handful of times on his bottom with the palm of my hand. What I am saying is that what is shown on that video is not going to come as a shock to most of the black people I know, because we lived it. I know I did.
Going on the internet to play a game does not mean the child should be beat. And she’s disabled. Would you kick a 3 legged dog for “breaking the rules”? ie peeing in the house?

@Sandra I ain’t big on corporal punishment either. My parents beat me, and it really didn’t do anything at the time other than make me afraid of them. I kept many secrets from them, that now, I wish I would have told, but I was afraid. As I got older, I noticed I was more distant from them. Teaching a kid respect is one thing, but making them afraid of you is quite another. Not saying I was a bad kid, but there are other methods to discipline kids.

Although I think the mother could’ve handled the situation better, I think she was trying to actually protect the daughter from the father. Notice how she snatched the belt out of his hands. She kept telling the daughter to turn on her stomach so she can hit her on the behind. The dad didn’t care where he hit her and even threatened to hit her in the face w/the belt. Then, the dad kept trying to snatch the belt out of the mothers hands but she would not let him. After she hit her once, she left the room….which is why I think the daughter eventually forgave her mother. Again, the mother could’ve handled it better, but in her own way, she prolly felt she was protecting her daughter from getting hit even worse by the father. This muthafugga even took off to get his own belt because he wanted to swing that badly!

I don’t agree with the “whooping”, but the things he said to her about her not belonging in the house and how she used to behave bothered me way more. Dude that abused and humiliated the little boy deserved to go to jail. I don’t think it’s a racial thing, I think it’s a matter of what the law can do and when they can do it. The judge is not going to be charged because the statue of limitations has passed.

What’s ironic is the fact that the “Judge” handled many child abuse cases.
Wow…it shldve been clear they wouldn’t be prosecuted..maybe that’s one of the reasons their daughter didn’t release the video until she was an adult. Maybe she didn’t want them to serve prison time, but more expose him and her mother and let ppl in on her childhood.

Abuse happens all over… I dont think the child should have been talked to like that an I cant stand to hear lil girls cry that was terrible. BUT from what I heard on the Vid the lil girl was on Kazaa and if she would have gotten in trouble doing that then it would have been much worse than a belt to the backside. This issue is a very delicate one cause while I understand how some would feel alot of very adequate adults were raised on whippins…. some may say its wrong but for many it was effective.

The two things that a child needs to be be healthy mentally are to feel loved and SAFE in their own home. No child should live in fear that his or her parent will beat them violently. That is not love.

Instead they are sticking them infront of the television and letting narcissistic tv personalities “raise” them. Parents are dropping their kids off at school/daycare and expecting other people to teach them values and responsbility. The mode of punishment has little to do with the fact that parents are not discipling the children to begin with. We just got too many absentee parents, and it doesn’t matter what class (lower, middle, or upper) your in.

The point I am making is IF you ever beat a man or woman with a belt you would be arrested. Violence is no longer acceptable as a form of controlling your child. Learn how to communicate with your kids, just like you would communicate with an adult who does something wrong. It is not that hard. Take a child development class.

EXACTLY! I don’t have any children, but what no one on this site knows is that I raised my cousins child for 5 years in the early 2000′s from the time he was 7 until he was 12. I am the MISTRESS of the cah beatdown. I beat the living CHIT outta my 16 yo a few years ago. Like @Chiby pops..school call ME I am coming to getchu..Imma beatcho azz and take you right on back to your assigned place of public instruction. I got there and she get an attitude with ME. I had a meeting..so the ORIGINAL plan was I was going to take her back to work with me, go to my meeting, beat her azz and take her back to school. An hour tops cause school was rat round the kona. Well we had a reverse order on activites I got there and she had an attitude…I beat her azz alll the way back to my job…went to my meeting..beat her azz AGAIN and THEN took her back to school. Still only took 45 minutes.
My momma put me on punishment for ditchin school. I wasn’t havin it and decided to rip and run the streets(I got home waaaay before she got off work). My momma knew the areas I frequented so she went out lookin for me but I wasn’t there so she went home. I am the MISTRESS of the cah beatdown. I beat the living CHIT outta my 16 yo a few years ago. Like @Chiby pops..school call ME I am coming to getchu..Imma beatcho azz and take you right on back to your assigned place of public instruction. I got there and she get an attitude with ME. I had a meeting..so the ORIGINAL plan was I was going to take her back to work with me, go to my meeting, beat her azz and take her back to school. An hour tops cause school was rat round the kona. Well we had a reverse order on activites I got there and she had an attitude…I beat her azz alll the way back to my job…went to my meeting..beat her azz AGAIN and THEN took her back to school. Still only took 45 minutes

not condoning what the father did and how he acted, but just b/c she is disabled doesn’t mean that she can’t get a whooping for acting up. I worked with students that are disabled whether it was cognitive, physical, or social (behavioral) and them knuckle heads know they can get over on people just like this girl. She knew she wasn’t suppose to play the video and she went right ahead and did it, she should have gotten punished but I will say the judge took it to far.

I can’t with some of the stupid comments on here. Yes every1 gets whoopings. I 2 have had some and YES i am BLACK but not like this. This was a crime. Crying laughing! We don’t know how many times he told that chick to stay off that darn game. We say these games are making these kids crazy, then you have a parent that’s trying to set limits and people still trippin. I don’t agree with cursing at little kids but this chick is 16 she ain’t no baby. When they get to be teenagers they think they can do what they want and sometimes need to be reminded of who is the parent. I have a 16 year old and I don’t spank her anymore but don’t get it twisted if you get crunk and out of line I WILL SLAM YOU!

McALLEN, Texas (AP) — A Texas family law judge whose daughter secretly videotaped him savagely beating her seven years ago won’t face criminal charges because too much time has elapsed, police said Thursday.
Aransas County Court-at-Law Judge William Adams likely would have been charged with causing injury to a child or other assault-related offenses for the 2004 beating of his then-16-year-old daughter, but the five-year statutes of limitations expired, Rockport Police Chief Tim Jayroe said.
“We believe that there was a criminal offense involved and that there was substantial evidence to indicate that and under normal circumstances … a charge could have been made,” Jayroe said. He said the district attorney determined he couldn’t bring charges, and that police would discuss the case with federal prosecutors even though he doesn’t believe federal charges would apply.
