Ayesha & Steph Curry

Social media users dragged Stephen Curry after the NBA star snubbed a 10-year-old boy who only wanted an autograph.

Curry’s wife, Ayesha, was forced to defend her arrogant husband after a Twitter.com user uploaded a video of the boy pleading with Curry for an autograph.

“yo… Steph Curry ain’t shit,” tweeted a user named @bjeffthegod in the video caption.

Stephen & Ayesha Curry

A disgusted Ayesha tweeted:

“So tired of seeing this. He was looking for a family member in a crowd of 100 people which you can’t see on the other side of the camera…. He would never purposefully ignore a squirrel let alone a precious little boy. Demeaning someone to get your followers up much.”

Don’t you hate liars? Just tell the truth. The fans will understand that Steph cares more about money than them.

Stephen Curry

The truth is Curry doesn’t give free autographs because he recently signed an exclusive autograph deal with Steiner Sports worth millions.

According to Steiner Sports’ website a hand-signed 16-by-20 Curry photograph is $300, autographed basketballs start at $480, signed jerseys start at $700 with MVP and Championship Edition jerseys going for $900.

Maybe the 10-year-old boy should have waved hundred dollar bills at Curry?.

Whoever sent the 10 yr old to get the shoes signed knows how much the shoes will be worth one day. I bet even the 10 yr. old knows.

  • claudia

Ok…. He was looking for a family member but he still couldn’t take 2 seconds to write his autograph? Girl bye with your lame azz excuse.

  • Evillene

LOL. Ain’t no way he didn’t see that little boy begging for an autograph. I love a dutiful, fiercely protective wife but in this case Mrs. Steph can have a seat.

  • what?why

Making all that money off of his fans and he doesn’t even have the decency to acknowledge one of their kids. Piece of work …

  • Indies beauty

People do the most…. adding a sad music score to the video. That little boy got his life already taking pics with everyone. Go home and call it a day.

  • Simone

Where was the crowd at? lol JS

  • You Could Never

Been waiting on this one. Thanks Sandra. Lots of blame. The mom is teaching the kid entitlement bc that is a courtesy the players pay their fans. His little ass already had mad autographs. Ayesha needs to stfu. Been tired of her as a sports wife. Bish fall back. I was HELLA nice about it previously. No mas.

Finally…As a child of the Hornets, like was ALIVE when the team was founded, I know for a huge ass fact, that Steph’s dad…Dell…was KNOWN to sign autographs. No. He is NOT his dad. But its the right thing to do. I sat here and watched the Serena bio last night and chimed into my group text that she actually stopped to take pics and sign ALL the fan autographs…after a loss to Venus! We all know how hard that particular loss is for her. Pure was hurt, asking for ice yet signing autographs. No excuse why Steph cant do it.

  • Django the God

If he could really ball he wouldn’t even be trippin’.

  • RealATLPeach36

That hurt my feelings he could have signed that for that baby boy…what God give he surely can take!

He was dead in there….he def could have signed that stupid shirt.

  • Rayne

He’s bogus ASF! I see those NBA guys trip over themselves to give “other” lil kids autographs.

  • Mr.LeBrickJames

Not a good look, but… I’m not going to drag the man over this. With all the athletes we see getting arrested for stuff, committing domestic violence and worse, this is relatively minor stuff in my mind.
If the worst thing they can come up with is that Steph Curry didnt sign this kid’s jersey, I think I can give the man a pass.

  • Torae

Although Curry knows he saw the kid his parents should also try not to let their kids idolize these celebrities because they will be disappointed. He isnt entitled to get an autograph because hes a 10 year old kid that looks up to him. Yes, thats being an a-hole but truth is most celebrities are a-holes?????

  • RealATLPeach36

And rapist…..everybody grabbing or taking the P or the D

  • WutizaGRANNY!

DAMMIT I WAS RIGHT IT WAS PEABO BURGER FLIPPER WHO KILLED THOSE FOUR PEOPLE..YEEEEPPP!! i KNEW THAT SHIT DIDN’T ADD UP LOL!!

  • RaginB

He clearly saw the kid…it takes 10 seconds to scribble some shit that looks like your name.

  • Readytochokemothernatureout

Without folks buying tickets and watching it where would they be is what they need to remember. Ayesha will slways take up for him and that’s cool too but right is right.

  • JV

So he wouldn’t sign the autograph because the child was lost, looking for his parents… so they just left him there, didn’t help him find his parents? That’s a little worse than just not signing the autograph unless I’m missing something!! But obviously that story was a bad lie.

I understand he signed that deal, but he could’ve wrote him a note on a piece of paper or something. What are they gonna do?

  • Well$$Well$$?

What about all the other players who signed the child’s jersey? Even though I think he could’ve stopped to give the child an autograph I don’t think he should be dragged because of it. He’s human. Human’s make mistakes…

  • Karen Brady

I’ll never stop saying this. These two look like they came from the same mom and dad. Yes, they look like full, whole, 100% whatever you want to call it sister and brother.

  • SpillyNillie

He looked dead at that lil boy…he could have signed real quick and kept it moving…doesn’t seem like there’s 100+ people on the other side but I could be wrong. Judging by Steph’s distance, how could he see them anyway?

  • i troll it like i see it

I hope this is a wake up call for the kid.

  • WutizaGRANNY!
  • Karen Brady

On the flipside..one could make the argument that as much as we put up with cutie pie Riley at news conferences, he could tolerate someone else’s kid for 10 seconds. I really don’t care though. Back to reading about Libyan slavery :-(.

  • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z1lo6u-UIbo Nancy Drew-Natural & Luv’n It!

maybe the 10 y/o should have been accompanied by an adult *shrug*

    get your kids! LOL!!!!

  • SpillyNillie

Ayesha needs to stfu. Been tired of her as a sports wife. Bish fall back. I was HELLA nice about it previously. No mas.

    Always stanning for hu man! A L W A Y S N 4 E V A

  • TOO REAL

SANDY I REALLY WISH YOU WOULD STOP TALKING ABOUT YOURSELF. YOU LIE ON A DAILY.

  • You Could Never

That wasn’t a mistake. In video he on purpose overlooked the child. I’m personally dragging him, bc as the spawn of an NBA player who literally used to sign probably hundreds of autographs per game, Dell Curry Jr aka Steph of all folks know what time it is.

  • Renee26

Lol I think you read it wrong

  • JV

Steph Curry is a punk. (Easiest comment a Cavs fan can make). Same guy that charged thousands for kids to attend his camps, and when most couldn’t pay for it, he hawked his brother’s camp.

  • Renee26

He was…you could her a woman in the background telling him what to say LOL

  • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z1lo6u-UIbo Nancy Drew-Natural & Luv’n It!

    agreed.

*goes to find ‘mean’ Joe Greene’s jersey for this kid*

    ROFL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Renee26

Howell Emanuel Donaldson III … Peabo was the manager he gave the bag to LOL

  • Phillybruh

If he didn’t feel like signing anything what’s the problem with that?

  • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z1lo6u-UIbo Nancy Drew-Natural & Luv’n It!

    SAY WUT, @WUT?????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • JV

OH OK LOL yeah I did.. So she’s saying Steph was looking for someone. Well whatever, it’s still a lie!

  • Noirluv45

Ayesha said he was looking for a family member, BUT, he had time to stop and shake those two guys’ hands, so…It was just flat out rude to ignore that little boy.

  • Blaque Mahogany

Is it wrong that I don’t care about this? I mean everyone deserves a day off right? Idk. Maybe I should care… I might care tomorrow.

  • Tennessean

Right!!! @ Libyan slavery. I have been seeing the videos on facebook…smh.

  • jazmine

Listen Steph ain’t HAVE to do anything but you not gonna tell me he ain’t see and hear the boy.

  • Noirluv45

Was that a mistake or a purposeful slight? He saw that child trying to get his attention.

  • You Could Never

This too. I mean I like Steph. A lot actually. From his time in college at Davidson til currently. But he got a lil bit of shit with him. Facts.

  • i troll it like i see it

He would be nothing without the legions of fans. This video wouldnt have looked so bad if other players were not filmed taking their personal time to make a little boy’s birthday, then Steph Curry came along and messed it up.

  • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z1lo6u-UIbo Nancy Drew-Natural & Luv’n It!

well, see… he was setup, LOL!

  • Well$$Well$$?

I didn’t say he was right in not signing the autograph but that’s life. ? In life you dont always get what you want. No matter how much you want it or beg for it.

  • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z1lo6u-UIbo Nancy Drew-Natural & Luv’n It!

i’m trying, but i don’t believe any long-term damage was done to the child, so i’ll give Steph a break on this one… folk be tired some days *shrug* Lol!

  • You Could Never

Now I DID say that too. The mom did all of this. Like put it on front street. Ma’am your child not entitled to anything. I dont like that.

  • Indies beauty

Idk, I don’t watch sports like that. I don’t see the outrage.

  • Mr.LeBrickJames

I would call it a bad decision more than a “mistake”…but I get your point, and I agree. And these athletes can’t win, because if they sign 1000 autographs but brush off person #1001, people will drag him for that 1, and not think about the 1000 autographs he signed before that.

  • Renee26

    Right…a flat out lie

  • Bossy704

The Curry’s been bout dey coins and SORRY but they are not giving out free autographs to nobody. Ayesha is an absolutely lovely person and I love that she speaks her mind.

  • Karen Brady

    I still can’t believe it!!

  • Renee26

They probably sold those signed jerseys… sideye

  • JV

Agree. He’s a great player, smoothest shot I think I’ve ever seen.

  • Karen Brady

What you’re saying is you don’t care on this here Wednesday, 11.29?

  • Jen_no_juice

The hatred in this write up ?*clutches pearls* Auntie did the curry’s snub you? Yes he ignored the boy but hell that’s his choice. The kid can get Michael Rapaport to represent him

  • xenaD

My mouth literally just dropped to the ground!
I heard of this story but I was just like o please whatever he don’t have to sign a goddamn thing if he does not want to.
I moved on with life lol
Now listening to his wife’s side of the story and seeing this video
    Lol
She know good and goddamn well he seen that boy

  • Noirluv45

Some things don’t have to be done, but some things should be done, and he should’ve signed that autograph. It was flat out rude for him to ignore that child. That’s part of being a celeb/famous.

  • You Could Never

He is actually one of my fave players past few seasons bc of that shot. And when I was discussing this in a few circles folks were shocked. they were like but I thought you loved him? I do. Totally. But wrong is wrong. Shoot.

  • Vonn

He probably did see & hear that boy, so what. In that type of setting 1 autograph quickly leads to 20. Maybe he really was looking for someone & had somewhere to be. We really don’t know.

  • http://sandrarose.com SandraRose

Did anyone read the post? Anyone?…
Steph has an exclusive contract to sell his autographs. He doesn’t sign for free. He is all about that money.

  • Django the God

His mother could say “don’t worry about it, you’ll be better than Curry.”

  • http://sandrarose.com SandraRose

    It was a jersey, bruh.

  • Noirluv45

I read it, Sandra. He could’ve acknowledged the boy and told him he’d have to pay up to get an autograph.

  • Vonn

That boy learned a valuable lesson to take through life…you don’t always get what you want.

  • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z1lo6u-UIbo Nancy Drew-Natural & Luv’n It!

Those other players don’t have an autograph deal worth millions.

  • http://sandrarose.com SandraRose

My bad. Steiner Sports says he can sign at games if he wants to.

  • You Could Never

Wont call her a wench. But I prefer my sports wives to hush. Debbie Allen. One of the most famous basketball wives with melanin EVER. I never heard Debbie all up in Norm biz. Shaunie knew when to hush too in case anyone comes running up talking about it was a diff. time. Ayesha is outta line a lot of times. This was one.

  • Phillybruh

And disappointment is a part of life and that kid learned it that day.

  • more

Yikes,,! But why say this lol??

  • You Could Never

Nothing. The issue is he could have said that (I was tired and didnt feel like it) vs his wife making up this stupid ass story of he aint see the kid. Its not required. I said that

  • Scromes1212

Capitalism. It’s comes with the territory. You make people pay for autographs then you don’t sign a free one and there gonna bring up the fact you make people pay for them. If you don’t make anybody pay then you probably wouldn’t get the backlash. JS

  • You Could Never

I also said the mom needs to stop teaching that child entitlement like that.

  • JV

whoa, whoa, whoa… he CAN sign fan autographs, according to the company:

Any idea if he can still sign for fans? I know with fanatics he was able to?

    — Jim (@hibachisfrogs) September 20, 2017

Yes, he of course can sign for fans at games as he chooses. This is not something we ever restrict.

  • Oretta Grace Smith

    It’s sock and sad!!!

  • Kayke

Seriously?!…. Some kids don’t even get to go to stadiums to see games, much less be in the presence of athletes…..if every privilege that this child obviously has, is now relegated to the background because he didn’t get a signed piece of paper….I smell entitlement. Is anyone teaching him to be grateful for the rest of the awesomeness that’s occurring? Get right.

  • http://sandrarose.com SandraRose

Yet no one has any real evidence that these people are actually being sold?

  • Noirluv45

This has nothing to do with the boy, but everything to do with Stephen Curry being an asshole.

  • SweetTEE

I knw this will sound kinda insensitive but… what would be the purpose of him selling his autograph if he gives it away for free? Do people not resale online? If he literally signed everytime a kid asked, why wouldnt people purposely have a kid get the autograph, then resale? Asking for a logical friend.

  • We Can Do This

The kid felt entitled and he’s not. If he is under contract to sell autographed memorabilia then the kid needs to save his money or ask for it as a gift.

He doesn’t owe that kid a thing.

  • SweetTEE

And he is lightweight arrogant and annoying… but still?

  • WutizaGRANNY!

  • Pnthr

The honorable thing to do would be to admit your husband was wrong. There’s no such thing as an NBA champion point guard with poor vision/tunnel vision. He saw the boy.

If he didn’t want to sign an autograph, fine, but it takes literally 2 seconds to wave and say hi.

  • Noirluv45

Kids who get autographs don’t pay, so they are free. Sandra also said that he can give autographs to whoever he wants for free.

  • Skin Deep Beauty

Agree! ?. Folk will ignore that fact.

  • Sinny

Because that same kid is also putting money in his pocket; by freely promoting and advertising Steph’s brand, every time he puts on that his jersey that his mother paid for. Dude is making like $16 million a year! Let’s not talk about the overly priced tickets he paid to see his albino monkey looking ass. He’s just too arrogant. Dude curved the shit out of that kid, and rubbed it in his face by staying around him, low-key smirking.

  • Pnthr

Lmao he’s a child who saw a famous athlete he admired. It’s about human decency, not entitlement.

  • Pnthr

You all acting like this was an adult. He’s a damn kid. Its upsetting when you’re a child and admire a famous person and they snub you. He doesn’t know any better ??

  • Crazy tee

  • Pnthr

Lmao paperbag test in full effect in that family.

  • EMILY POST

I like Ayesha… She is suppose to stand with her husband.

  • Skin Deep Beauty

Steph honored his CONTRACTUAL OBLIGATION! His WIFE stood by her man. What’s the problem? Oh that folk is taking this way too personal! Then stop putting folk who’s professionsion requires monetary earnings and treating them like some like good. I on the patron that ish don’t buy music don’t pay for none of that ish

  • Michelle

He is entitled when it’s consumers like him that put millions in his pockets TF

  • Karen Brady

    And you know it.

  • Kayke

Children are adults in practice…he’s got to learn one day. All the adults don’t seem to want to teach that lesson. Instead, teach to shame a person that truly has no obligation to him….when the perceived “violation” created an emotion only. He’s not hurt, homeless, hungry or dead without this autograph. This boy is going to be a man soon y’all…. Come on. This is petty on the behalf of all these adults trying to disrupt a man’s life and living over a choice that truly hurts no one. Teach your kids nobody owes them anything other than their personal space and rejection is a part of life.

  • OvertheMississippi

  • Dollmeshia Dee-Dee Clark

Right!…..i thought according to her response that maybe it was loud and crowed to where he couldn’t see him BUT ERRRAAAHHHH Naw he straight ignored him and PLAYERS know when they exit the tunnel fans are waiting ….Ayesha #girlbye

  • You Could Never

Thanks for the free basketball camp annually John Wall.

    Your hometown appreciates it.

  • Dollmeshia Dee-Dee Clark

I agree but at least let it Make Sense …the video doesn’t support what she said…he heard that lil boy

  • Pnthr

And part of learning and “practicing” for adulthood is being being decent to others. It was flatout rude to ignore someone talking to you. Forget the autograph. Steph’s life isn’t disrupted or ruined over this. Would you want him to treat your kid like that? How about if his daughters met Rihanna and were excited, asked for a simple acknowledgement of their presence and she turned away to ignore them? He would be mad and so would his big mouth wife.

  • Trace da Ace

maaannnnn…..he straight igg’d that little boy….how could he not see nor hear him??? See that is the problem with some of these athletes….when they come up and get all famous…they forget their humble beginnings…..and treat “fans” like 2nd rate citizens.

    and btw…. I would not even pay $300 for Jesus’s autograph….much less somebody else….yeah he tried it…..

  • Dowoop

I just remembered how people were complaining when he had his daughter with him on the stage and in interviews all the time. Sometimes we forget that not everyone puts our kid on a pedestal the way that we do.

  • Liah

    DId they?

  • Liah

    Right!!##BYEBYE

  • You Could Never

    they forget their humble beginnings

Steph aint have no humble beginnings. He was literally born into the NBA. Hence the attitude and arrogance at times I do belee

  • Tennessean

    Very good observation.

  • Kayke

Sticking to what happened and not “if” or “how about”…. Someone not acknowledging you just hurts you feelings. Kids need to get their feelings hurt so at 15 he’s not punching girls in the face when they decline to kiss him. Rejection is a part of life and being rejected is not an indecency. My kid wouldn’t be there because we aren’t “fans” in my household.

Oh please stop. That is apples to oranges. Illogical. Good for you and your perfect family. I’m sure your kids are miserable and will grow up to be miserable adults. Let’s crucify a kid for admiring a famous athlete…what a groupie!!

???? but can’t see a kid 1 feet away swinging a jersey in his face.

  • Kayke

Whatever….”perfect family”….no, you don’t need to be perfect to teach your child that people are just people. Rejection is rejection and someone is not teaching him how to deal with that…. You’re upset, extreme, and condescending, I hope you feel better. Try not to die from getting your feelings hurt.

Poor kid. These athletes jump as soon as they see a White disabled kid though lol

  • Desiree

Yo’…..wtf is his wife talking about? He culearrrrlyy (Kandi’s voice) ignored that poor baby. Just say you didn’t feel like signin’ nuthin..

  • http://disqus.com/ yoliewinecorporation

Seriously!! IMO wasn’t no fans how in hell Steph couldn’t see the kid he’s directly in front waving the jersey. Smdh!!

  • oshh16

    Not mad at Steph.

  • Pnthr

Lmao. Find me one kid that doesn’t admire someone famous? So kids can’t look up to Barack Obama? Stop being foolish. Difference between idolizing and admiring. I’m not mad, hurt or anything close to that. I’m just an adult who can rationalize and understand that kids will be kids. You’re one of those types who expect children to think, act and behave like adults.

  • VM

It’s all about that dollar and you don’t even need it.

Steph still signs autographs for free and like my boy who is in the NBA said “I can sign 50 autographs in a row, but it’s always that 51st person who will feel a certain way about not getting an autograph.”

  • Kayke

My son has a dad, he looks up to. I don’t expect the kid to act any different than he did. I, however, expect the parent whose making this a big deal, to act like an adult raising a soon to be adult.

  • SweetTEE

And all that may be true..but thats a personal choice. Dont nobody owe you ish bc YOU choose to do any of those things. We pay for ish all day & dont get compensated in any way. Furthermore, this is the real world and although this was a child theres a lesson to be learnt. People need to teach their kids not to idolize punk b*tches and how to handle rejection. Its a dog eat dog world out here and aint nobody gon baby you.

  • Lady_Elle

    Steph… do better!
    1 kid… geez!
I understand if there is a group. This was 1 kid!

  • Fire & Ice

I like the Curry’s but you ain’t lying. Black athletes will snub someone black with the quickness. Now if someone white ask them, it’s done!

  • Chocolate Bliss

    Nooo not Total lolll

  • NicoleZee

Steph and his wife both look like they sniff acid. Most celebs are too arrogant anyway. But to mistreat a child, that is unacceptable. I wish kids would stop admiring celebs, most of them ain’t worth shit. I keep my ear to the streets though. I’ve heard that celebs like Beyonce, Will Smith, Tom Cruise, Liam Neeson, and even Kim K., are super sweet when you meet them. And when I met Ne-Yo, he was extremely polite and friendly. If I hear that a celebrity has a nasty attitude, I would never approach them public.

  • Latisaj

He completely ignored that poor boy and kept it moving, if it was such an urgency to locate a family member, than why the hand shakes and pounds to security.. As the tweeter user expressed.. Steph… you ain’t shit, see you on your way down!!

  • Latisaj

Or white woman, which ever comes first..

  • Pnthr

How do you know the parents didn’t? Cut the kid a break. I don’t think they should idolize celebrities either but its a natural inclination to have role models or admire others. You even have adults who still “stan” for celebrities and the point is , Steph didn’t have to be a jerk.

  • RBGold

The thing is – if he does have a contract agreement… he has an obligation to that corporation. Whose to say that he wouldn’t have given the boy an autograph once the cameras weren’t rolling?

  • isaiit

?What about me? What about us?? ?

  • Hmmm~?

He is not obligated to give anyone an autograph, regardless of how old the person is. It’s a nice gesture but certainly not a requirement. I’d probably be the same way if I was a celeb too. He’s human too, and sometimes people just don’t be in the mood. It’s not necessarily a sign of arrogance.

  • andrice

Some people snub their own kids daily..
We got bigger issues than this faux news.

  • nick c

Those contract signatures has always been controversial.

  • CaniLive?

Awwwww, that made me sad, how could he straight ignore that child like that?

  • http://bettybooplover.tumblr.com/ Berry Melon

That’s what happens when you look up to false idols – they always let you down. I’ve seen a ton of people who meet the person they idolize snub them. And it makes them wonder… why? Well the reason is these people don’t care. They want the fame and the $$$. There are the odd few that care, but it’s rare. They do find fans – annoying. It’s like say if you or I was in the public eye, would we want people following us asking for autographs, left, right and center? The answer is no, we would not. I had several people ask me the time on Tuesday when I went out and I was like, ain’t these people got watches or mobiles of their own? But I gave them the time. So, it wouldn’t have hurt the man to give the boy an autograph. When I was young I idolized people, but I never went directly to them. I just watched them on the TV. People I like, I let it known but I never go directly to them. Because you can get shunned. And who wants to? Not to mention I personally know that those people don’t like being annoyed. They don’t mind the money though, huh?

  • Lucy

People act as if athletes, singers and actors have a duty to give them autographs.NEWSFLASH…They don’t.

  • Kayke

No that’s not the point and an assumption can be made that the parent also thinks that is the point, is why a valuable lesson for the child is being missed.

  • AListDiva29

His wife is annoying though, take a seat!!

  • Candance

He signed my hat when he was in Denver! He was cool as a fan!!!!

  • ViolettaBliss

Signing this young mans T-shirt for two seconds would have hindered him from finding his relatives in a closed arena? Take several seats Ayesha !!

  • friendofblog

    Okay, Ayesha, dayum.

  • YellowSauce

NOPE … he COULD have signed that AND KEPT looking for who he was looking for … people keep LETTING celebrities abuse them while BUYING TICKETS ALBUMS AND WHEREVER you show support … keep it up folks …also your children should IDOLIZE YOU .. NOT CELEBS … YOU should be your child’s GREATEST ROLE MODEL NOT ANYONE ELSE …

  • Gotitbutsmh

FOH. I don’t care what age you are that man is not required to sign jack. Have the kid get his own parents autograph, that should be his true role models.

  • Karryn

Something about these two screams colorstruck. Imo

  • EMILY POST

Her job to defend her family and her husband… I will not knock her for that. People dont get paid to sign autographs.
Who’s kid is at the game for “Free” received like 5 players autographs and he was upset… LOL If you guys dont get out of here with this story.
