Celebs Out & About: Nicki Minaj, Pitbull, Keri Hilson, Angela Simmons
Rappers Nicki Minaj and Pitbull attended the 2011 American Music Awards Nominees Press Conference at JW Marriott Los Angeles at L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles yesterday (Oct. 11). Nicki looked extremely bored during the press conference. She was nominated for Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Artist and Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Album, while Pitbull picked up nods for Favorite Latin Music Artist and Favorite Pop or Rock Male Artist.
Pitbull, whose “Give Me Everything” lyrics “Locked up like Lindsay Lohan” upset the actress, plans to fly a bevy of Miami beauties to perform behind him during the telecast.
It’s hard to get 60 women from Miami on a plane after they were partying the night before and bring that vibe out there,” he joked. “But that’s definitely what we’re looking for: We’re looking for a lot of energy, something very sexy, sophisticated, powerful — and get ready.”
ASCAP Legends Ball
The BET Hip Hop Awards weekend kicked off last night with ASCAP’s Legends Ball held at the W Hotel in Atlanta, honoring the music legends who have given back to the Atlanta community. Lil Wayne leads BET Hip Hop Award nominations with 18
It doesn’t matter that Lil Wayne’s 4th CD Carter IV is garbage, it can’t be ignored that he somehow managed to sell almost a million albums in one week. Plus the fact that no other rapper even comes close to his sales this year, so that should account for something.
Yesterday, BET announced its list of nominations for the 2011 Hip Hop Awards, including 18 nominations for the rap gremlin.
Once again Sandrarose.com was ignored in the best blog category. We didn’t even get a mention for the Hustler of the Year award, which we feel we deserve. Not that we care but we thought we would mention the diss.
See the full list of nominees after the break!
