Business Women: The Fashionably Famous
Loyal reader Sonye Rasool, of TheFashionablyfamous.com, writes:
“Hello,
I would like to share a little about The Fashionably Famous and myself. My fashion blog is a few months old and I am dedicated to making it a success. I have a fashion background; I majored in Merchandise Marketing & Product Development. I have worked in buying, design, production, and sales for companies such as BCBG, Lei Denim, and Bloomingdales. The idea for The Fashionably Famous came to mind because there are many people in the fashion industry who never receives the recognition they deserve. The Fashionably Famous focus on giving exposure to people in the fashion industry (Stylist, designers, boutique owners, PR etc.). The people that are featured allow the public to become aware of their talent, product, or service.
T.I. Birthday Bash Winner gets shopping spree at TAGS Boutique, and her hair done by Derek J!
Friday was a busy day for Ashley Marietta, who will host the Red Carpet for T.I.’s big birthday bash TONIGHT at a private location.
As soon as I notified Ashley that she was the winner, she dashed off to TAGS Boutique‘s 2nd location in Buckhead, where she picked out a special outfit to wear on the red carpet tonight.
The shopping spree was FREE — courtesy of TAGS Boutique co-owners Kandi Burress and Peaches Chin, who took the time to help Ashley select just the right outfit. Ashley, above center, is pictured with Peaches Chin, left, and TAGS II manager Yasmin.

Oprah Winfrey made the cover of Forbes – Jay Z did not

Rapper Jay Z is somewhere steaming over the fact that failing media honcho Oprah made the cover of Forbes‘ $126 Billion cover — and he didn’t.
Winfrey, 58, shares the Forbes “$126 Billion” cover with Jay Z’s good pal billionaire investor Warren Buffet, 82, and Microsoft founder Bill Gates, 56. Jay Z, who is not quite billionaire status — shared the Forbes cover of the “400 Richest People in the World” with Buffet in 2010. Jigga, 43, has not been on the cover since.

Jackie Christie debuts her made-for-TV fashion line at NY Fashion Week
Remember when Sheree Whitfield debuted her now-defunct ‘She By Sheree’ clothing line on the premiere season of Real Housewives of Atlanta? Well, the producers of Basketball Wives: LA have come up with an ingenious plot line for Jackie Christie this upcoming season. That’s right, she’s a fashion designer now. Jackie debuted her women’s ready-to-wear clothing line during NY’s Fashion Week on Saturday. Jackie’s co-stars Draya, Malaysia Pargo, Gloria Govan, and Laura Govan modeled some of Jackie’s pieces on the catwalk.
ABC’s Robin Roberts backs out of interview with Evelyn Lozada

Basketball Wives star Evelyn Lozada will sit down for an exclusive interview with ABC’s Good Morning America‘s Amy Robach instead of anchor Robin Roberts as originally planned.
According to a confidential source, who requested anonymity because she’s not authorized to speak publicly on the subject, Roberts backed out of the interview because of Lozada’s diva-like behavior.
The source told Sandrarose.com that Roberts, 51, wasn’t keen on interviewing Lozada. “She thought [Lozada] was beneath her,” said the source, who added that Roberts was a little put off by Lozada’s demands.
According to multiple sources, Lozada asked Roberts to conduct the interview in her luxury hotel suite in New York City rather than at the ABC studios.
But Roberts and ABC didn’t think Lozada was a big enough star to make such a request.
Tameka Foster-Raymond Files Motion for New Trial

Celebrity stylist Tameka Foster-Raymond’s legal team filed a motion for a new trial today in Fulton County court, according to my confidential source who obtained the court documents.
The court documents contain pretty damaging evidence that may (or may not) prove corruption at the state judicial level. Foster’s legal team has uncovered evidence that shows Usher Raymond’s attorney John Mayoue did more than just help Judge Bensonetta Tipton Lane Lane raise funds for her campaign re-election.
Last week, Foster-Raymond lost primary custody of her two sons, ages 4 and 3, to her ex-husband, Usher Raymond. Foster-Raymond is seeking a new trial on the grounds that Usher’s legal team may have had an unfair advantage over hers.
The motion filed by Foster-Raymond today officially stays the judge’s order. Which means Tameka retains primary custody of the children until the motion is allowed or dismissed.
