Davis suffered the injury while going for a block in the 1st quarter on Saturday. He was taken out of the game but he returned a short time later. He left the game again to have his right hand taped up and iced.

The former New Orleans Pelicans star finished the game with 6 points on 2-7 shooting, two blocks, three rebounds and a steal in 12 minutes of playing time.

LaVar Ball Lonzo Ball

LaVar Ball continues to make enemies within the L.A. Lakers organization, even as he coaches his other sons' Lithuanian team across the pond. LaVar, who coaches his sons LiAngelo and LaMelo in Lithuania, reportedly told Lithuanian media that he will pull his son Lonzo Ball away from the Lakers (and presumably sign him to the Lithuanian team), if the Lakers don't acquire LiAngelo and LaMelo.

L.A. Lakers star Nick Young was removed from the team's active roster prior to the Laker's loss to the Boston Celtics on Sunday.

Lakers Coach Byron Scott said benching Young for the past 11 games was purely a "basketball decision" and nothing to do with Young's highly publicized personal problems off the court.

Kelly Rowland and son Titan

Kelly Rowland stopped by a park to play with her son Titan Witherspoon before leaving to run errands on a sunny day in Los Angeles. As Titan's nanny looked on, Kelly pushed her son on the swings, held him while riding on a toy horse, and watched him come down the slide. What's odd is the nanny hovering over Kelly while she played with her son. We still haven't seen pics of Kelly's husband, Tim Witherspoon, with Kelly or his son in public. That's odd. He was everywhere before they tied the knot.

Jason Collins in a Nets uniform

The Brooklyn Nets signed 35-year-old bench rider Jason Collins to a 10-day contract on Sunday. According to sources, President Obama called in a favor to his good friend, minority team owner and rapper Jay Z.

Normally, this type of signing wouldn't register a blip in the news. But Collins recently announced he is a homosexual -- after dating a woman for 8 years. Now he is celebrated for his sexual proclivities -- not for his subpar basketball average of 1.1 points per game.

Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian

The LA Clippers have announced they will not re-sign free agent Lamar Odom to a new contract, amid rumors of drug addictions and a cheating scandal. That's probably exactly what Odom wanted.

According to Lakers Nation blog, Odom, 33, is still holding on to the hope that his former team, the Los Angeles Lakers, will sign him to a new contract.

Odom's life has been an emotional roller coaster ever since he was dropped by the Lakers. Odom also played briefly for the Dallas Mavericks who cut him loose after a few games in 2012. The 6'-10" NBA forward has been living in a hotel as rumors swirl that he cheated on Khloe Kardashian with at least 2 groupies.

LeBron Shaquille hickey

LeBron James celebrated his 28th birthday on December 30, and NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal gave his former teammate a late birthday gift: a hickey on his neck!

The video is all over the Internet. But I won't post it here due to the ignorance of the video uploader.

The Miami Heat cruised to a 99-90 win over the hapless LA Lakers behind LeBron's 39 points and 8 rebounds in last night's game at the Staples Center in LA. The win wrapped up the Heat's six-game road trip on Dwayne Wade's birthday. He turned 31 Thursday.

On January 16, LeBron became the youngest NBA player to reach 20,000 points in his career in a win over the Golden State Warriors.

  • Rihanna and Chris Brown at Knicks vs Lakers Game

It was hard to ignore singer Rihanna shamelessly draping herself all over her former lover Chris Brown during the NY Knicks vs LA Lakers game at the Staples Center Tuesday. Rihanna, who was holidaying in her native Barbados with friends and family, jetted to Brown's side on Christmas day -- despite rumors that Brown hooked back up with his long-suffering girlfriend, Karrueche Tran.

It doesn't matter how many photos Rihanna takes with Brown, everyone can see how desperate, needy and clingy she is. She knows that Brown is using her to revive his failing career but she doesn't care, because Brown provides the vital source of Narcissistic Supply that she craves.

The stylist responsible for dressing NBA star Kobe Bryant in those dreadful, borderline racist L.A. Times photo shoot images has reacted to the widespread criticism of the photos.

It's clear that the L.A. Times wanted exactly the type of response these pics elicited from the public or they wouldn't have gone to the trouble of Photoshopping Kobe's pictures beyond recognition.

The stylist, one James Valeri, gamely took the heat for the insulting, unflattering photos of Kobe. But in reality, these images are not the stylist's fault. Whoever Photoshopped the pics are to blame, not the stylist.

When a loyal reader emailed the pics to me, I initially thought it was a prank. Kobe can't be happy with the way these pictures turned out. I doubt he will sit for another photo shoot any time soon.

Here's what Valeri had to say about the concept and the wardrobe choices:

    On the project's concept
The concept was about shooting everything in white. That was Ruven's idea [photographer Ruven Afanador]. But I wanted to do something more modern and less conventional and less cliched. ... It's a more modern silhouette. It's not like, 'Let's just put Kobe in a pair of pants and a shirt or in a suit.' The clothing is all layered.

    On the negative reactions
The scarf picture and the hat picture were more to create an iconic image. When you do a portrait, you do think of the styling in how they're going to be different and how they're going to stand out. In 10 years time, or five years time, there has to be something particular or strange or different that will stand out. That image will stay in your mind. That's how it's going to become iconic. ... A lot of people aren't used to that, so when iconic pictures come out, they're disturbing, insulting, fascinating, it has a strong feeling attached to it, good or bad. Read more...

Thanks to a loyal reader for sending this link to pics of Orlando Magic star Dwight "Superman" Howard's gorgeous baby mama, Royce Reed, and their son, Braylon.

How happy are we to see that Royce is not LSLH? How often does that happen in the NBA? Praise HIM!!

Question: who is Dwight dating now?

    From Sportsbybrooks.com:

Who’s that? Why, it’s none other than Royce Reed, former girlfriend of Magic star Dwight Howard. And the little bundle of joy in her arms? That’s Royce & Dwight’s 1-year-old son, Braylon Joshua Robert Howard.

If you recall, little Braylon was the subject of a little controversy involving Dwight. Here was the older Howard, a superstar role model & very devout Christian, spreading the word of God ‘n’ such - and he goes out and impregnates a team dancer, who ends up having Dwight’s baby out of wedlock.

But Royce is back, and ready to show Dwight what he’s been missing out on.

    MORE pics after the break!
