Actress Meagan Good returns to TV as “smoking-hot English teacher Victoria Weavers” on NBC’s new comedy Mr. Robinson, which also stars Craig Robinson (The Office) as a horny music teacher (pun intended).
Good, 33, told The Grio she prayed for more comedy work and her prayers were answered with her new role.
“In the last couple of years, I had strayed away from kind of playing the sexy girl, and really just trying to re-establish myself as a very serious actor,” she told TheGrio.com.
“I want to do more comedy,” the 33-year-old actress said. “I love comedy because it’s a challenge for me.”

Good, who plays a Wall Street trader-turned teacher, is married to music exec and preacher DeVon Franklin. The couple has managed to make it past the dopamine phase in their marriage.
She was heavily criticized for wearing a blue frock with plunging neckline on the red carpet at the recent BET Awards. But Good brushes the criticism aside.
“When I got married it was a new wave of judgment,” she said. “It took me by surprise, but at the end of the day I know who I am.”
Rounding out the cast of Mr. Robinson are Brandon T. Jackson (Tropic Thunder), and Amandla Stenberg (Hunger Games), who plays one of her students.
