Actress Gabrielle Union, girlfriend of Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade, says her man couldn't sleep the night before winning the NBA title Thursday.

He stayed at the gym until 1:30 a.m., working out with a trainer. Then he showered and went home, where Wade and Union watched game film from last year's loss to the Dallas Mavericks. Afterwards, around 4 a.m., they went to bed. But Union says Wade tossed and turned until 8 a.m., when he rolled out of bed and called his teammate LeBron James.

"What they wanted to do today, more than anything, was to play a complete game of basketball," Union told Sports Illustrated magazine.

She said the two best friends drew up a blueprint over the phone for game 5, detailing exactly how they were going to lead their team to victory.

The blazing hot Miami Heat have a date with destiny tonight in game 5 of the NBA Finals. And the hapless OKC Thunder have a flight to catch back home to Oklahoma City.

The Miami Heat, led by LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, are just one win away from the NBA championship.

The Heat have a commanding 3-1 lead over the Thunder in the best-of-seven series. LeBron, 27, and Dwyane Wade, 30, have experience (total 18 years combined), talent and destiny on their side.

The young upstart Kevin Durant, 23, has only been in the NBA for 5 years. The Thunder don't have an answer for the big 5: LeBron, D.Wade, Chris Bosh, Mario Chalmers and Shane Battier. And no other team has come back from a 3-1 deficit to win the NBA Finals since the NBA adopted the 2-3-2 format.

Sean Combs's eldest son, Justin Dior Combs, 18, graduated from a prestigious private high school yesterday in New York. Combs, aka Puff Daddy, couldn't be more proud of his first born's achievement.

While other parents frown at the news that Justin, an All-Star Senior prep athlete, was awarded a $54,000 scholarship to play football at UCLA in California, Combs shrugs off the criticism.

A classic narcissist, Combs believes that his son is entitled to everything in life -- even if it comes at the expense of others who are more deserving.

Justin wasn't exactly born with a golden spoon in his mouth when broke party promoter Puffy knocked up girlfriend, Misa Hylton-Brim. The golden spoon would come later.

Little Justin, who has restaurants named after him, soon lived the good life, with all the trappings of success, after Combs struck it rich with with his imprint Bad Boy Records.

An insecure man with rumored, shall we say, shortcomings, Sean Combs lives to brags about his riches.

And the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
