The first time I saw this cover it took me a minute to recognize Michelle Obama. I thought Michelle’s man and kids were hugged up on a Hispanic woman.
I totally agree with loyal reader D. Joseph who said this cover photo of Michelle Obama looks like a cartoon.
Mrs. Obama was airbrushed to the max in order to appeal to Life & Style magazine’s target readers. Michelle Obama is nowhere near Barack’s complexion.
Clearly the white establishment media isn’t comfortable with Michelle’s strong Nubian Afrocentric features in the White House. They can only fully accept her if she looks mixed like Barack and their daughters.

Boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard and his wife Bernadette Rob attended the Los Angeles premiere of “The Lodger” at the Westwood Crest Theater last night. Wasn’t she married to one of the Jackson 5 brothers at one time? I see Leonard’s fitness routine has provided good results for him. The beer gut is gone.
The old school was in the house to celebrate the memoirs of music director Rickey Minor at the Huntley hotel yesterday in Santa Monica, California. Singer Eric Benet, musical director Rickey Minor and singer Brenda Russell attended the Private Book Release party.
Music legends Stevie and Jermaine Jackson also attended the book release party.
Songwriter Siedah Garrett (“Man in the Mirror”) and Stevie Wonder also attended the book release party.
Actress Victoria Rowell congratulated Minor on his new book.
The lovely Pam Grier was a guest on Showtime’s 2009 Winter TCA yesterday in Universal City, California. Pam stars on Showtime’s lesbun soap opera “L Word”.

Rick Ross Hauled into Child Support Court Today
Disgraced rapper Rick Ross will celebrate his birthday big baller style at Karu & Y Ultralounge in Miami, Florida on January 28.
But this morning Ross will be in a Miami courtroom to answer charges that he failed to pay child support (again) for his son 3-year old William Leonard Roberts, III.
The ex-correctional officer will appear in person at Broward County courthouse this morning. The court house is located at 201 S.E. 6th St. Fort.Lauderdale, Fl. 33301. The hearing starts @ 8:45 a.m sharp in room # 997 presided over by Judge Susan Greenhawt. (LINK)
Despite Ross’ claims that he supports his son and pays his medical bills, the boy’s mother Tiallondra Nicole Kemp says Ross, real name William Leonard Roberts, fell behind on his child support checks again.
According to court documents, Ross has a history of domestic violence abuse against Kemp. (LINK)
Rick Ross fell from grace in the Hip Hop world last year when photos and documents turned up online exposing his past occupation as a prison guard.
Despite his vehement denials, Department of Corrections (DoC) records show that Ross, the self-professed “gangster” and cocaine trafficker, did, in fact, work as a correctional officer for 18 months in December 1995 earning a salary of $22,913.54.

Biggie’s mom: ‘This Movie is not about Lil Kim’

Biggie’s mom Voletta Wallace was interviewed by Free on Power 105.1′s The Ed Lover Morning Show yesterday morning (I know, I’m late).
Free asked Mrs. Wallace to speak on the drama involving Lil Kim who is unhappy with her portrayal in NOTORIOUS.
Everyone was a big part of Biggie’s life. But what it boils down to, this movie is not — and I repeat, is not about Lil Kim. I’m sorry that she felt that she was not portrayed in a very negative light…. she loved my son. There was no question about it.

Someone needs to ask Mrs. Wallace why she’s shunning Biggie’s oldest child, T’yanna, and the child’s mother these days?
Insiders are saying Mrs. Wallace is shunning them for purely selfish reasons.
Many are questioning why we haven’t seen T’yanna at any of the screenings or in promos for NOTORIOUS.
NOTORIOUS opens in theaters nationwide tomorrow (1/16).

Loyal reader Evelyn emailed me the above pics which proves that Biggie’s daughter T’Yanna, 14, did indeed attend the NYC premiere of the movie chronicling her daddy’s life. But the pictures don’t tell the true story. The fact remains that the relationship between Voletta Wallace and the child’s mother is estranged.

In this video blog posted on his YouTube channel, an emotional Sean Combs opens up about how the g.o.a.t., Notorious B.I.G.’s death affected him.
Sean says ever since watching the final cut of the new biopic NOTORIOUS, he has slipped into a deep depression. He spends his days crying all the time and his spirit is broken.
“I want this to be closure for us. I want us to get our Spirit back,” says Sean.

For those who don’t believe rapper MaryJane’s Superman tattoo is real or that she’s back together with Shaq, here’s the evidence.
As you know, MaryJane, real name Alexis Miller, is the young lady who filed a restraining order against NBA superstar Shaquille O’Neal last year. Apparently the case has been settled.
I wish you could see what’s going on in my Inbox. Either MaryJane has a REALLY good PR team or she has a lot of enemies!
I’ve been getting emails non-stop from people claiming Shaq is shopping around a sex tape featuring him slam dunking MaryJane’s tonsils.
But it doesn’t end there. One reader emailed me to say MaryJane has filed restraining orders on other people in the past. The reader even named names in her email. But I can’t go there — yet.
You know I’m not one for petty gossip, but once I’m able to sort it all out I’ll dish the real dirt!
Remember, it isn’t gossip if it’s true!
