The rumor mill has it that industry veteran Kevin Liles was fired from his position at Warner Music Group. Liles, who got his start interning at Def Jam, authored the book Make It Happen: The Hip-Hop Generation Guide to Success. He recently celebrated his engagement to Erika Jones.

From Hits Daily Double:

Sources are telling us veteran Urban music exec Kevin Liles has exited his post at Warner Music Group. We'll let you know when we hear more details. Liles, a Lyor Cohen cohort since both were at IDJ, returned to the company just a few months ago, when he was put in charge of Warner’s growing portfolio of 360 deals, with an emphasis on monetizing those rights.

There is dumb, and then there is dumber. But singer Chris Brown is clearly the dumbest celebrity to ever be interviewed by CNN's Larry King.

Even with Chris Brown's mother sitting right beside him offering her support during a pre-taping of King's show on Wednesday, Brown still couldn't get his lies straight.

Brown responded to a question from King about the pre-Grammy night beating of Rihanna that ended in his arrest, by saying he couldn't remember anything.

After the furur and outcry went up from women's groups everywhere, Brown hurriedly released a prepared statement:

"There have been reports on the Internet that I didn't remember what happened that night with Rihanna. I want to try and set things straight.

That 30 seconds of the interview they used of me was taken from a one hour interview during which that same question was asked something like 4 or 5 times -- and when you look at the entire interview you will see it is not representative of what I said.

The first four times - or how ever many times it was - I gave the same answer -- which was that I didn't think it was appropriate for me to talk about what happened that night. I said it was not right for me and it really wasn't fair to Rihanna. The fifth time - or whatever it was - I just misspoke. I was asked, "Do you remember doing it?" and I said, "No."

Bitch boy goes on to say, "Of course I remember what happened."

Of course you do Chris. You're just the worst actor in Hollywood and you couldn't get your lies straight.

My question is, if Brown didn't want to talk about what happened that night, why did he even consent to appear on Larry King Live?

A loyal reader who works in the same midtown building as rapper T-Pain's lawyer emailed over the weekend to say she saw T-Pain, real name Faheem Rasheed Najm, leaving his attorney's office on Friday (8/28).

Word gets around quickly, and she learned that T-Pain was there to attend a mediation meeting to resolve child support issues with his baby mama, Elisa Hood, aka Ms. Cherry from VH1's Miss Rap Supreme.

Let's just say that the mediation didn't turn out as well as all parties had hoped.

For a rapper who just put out a track titled "I Support baby Mamas" [CLICK to listen] he certainly isn't supporting his own very well.

Before Friday, Ms. Hood was barely making ends meet with a measly $2,000 a month from the same rapper who bragged about dropping over $400,000 on a "big ass chain" inlaid with 197kt. diamonds. When T-Pain posted the pics of his 10 lb. chain on twitter last month, we chose not to participate in the nignorance by reposting the pics.

According to court documents, this dead beat dad pulls down $15 million a year in records sales, royalties and appearance fees. He owns an impressive collection of almost 40 luxury vehicles, including a Lambo, Bentley and a Phantom. Yet the cheapskate and his attorney put an offer on the table for a mere $500 per month more than the $2,000 he is already paying Ms. Hood in support for their 2-year-old son King!

Don't you hate so-called ballers who value money and material possessions over their own seed? Oh, did I forget to mention that T-Pain was already married with children at home when he laid up with Ms. Hood?

From what I hear, Ms. hood left his offer sitting on the table -- as well she should have -- and a court date is pending in family court. When that day draws near, I plan to send a photographer to snap some pics of T-Pain leaving the courtroom with his big ass empty wallet after Ms. Hood finishes taking him to the cleaners!

Every day I get at least 3 emails from former Kool Aide drinkers who have seen the light and reformed. Rapper Killa Mike represents those disillusioned minority voters who feel their needs have been overlooked by Obama. Mike says, "If he don't get with the Black Agenda, we don't vote for him the next time. I don't care what color you are. If you're not servicing the needs of my people, you don't deserve my vote!"

Barack Obama's approval ratings are sinking fast with no end in sight. The polls measure the apathy of Americans toward Obama due to his obvious lack of qualifications to run this country. What did voters expect? Obama was a junior Illinois state senator who spent two years voting "present" 130 times on tough legislation! That should have been a red flag.

From Hot Air blog:

Overall approval for Obama has now reached 46%, with 53% disapproving. Strong disapproval now comes within five points of overall approval, almost within the margin of error

Obama’s overall approval rating has dropped four points in the last two days, which gives an indication that the latest polling is significantly worse than earlier surveys. Rasmussen uses a rolling three-day poll of 500 likely voters each day. On Friday and Saturday, his overall approval was at 50%, but has dropped quickly to its new low.

Last night, singer Solange wore the same hawt Fendi pumps that Rihanna rocked like last year! Solange should have at least checked with a bonafied stylist to make sure these shoes were still in style. Celebrities should hold themselves to a higher standard when it comes to fashion trends. Unfortunately for Solange, she is always behind the trends.

I just came across of this new pics from Jay-z's "Answer the Call" press conference for his concert September 11 at MSG Garden. pics are on and i recognized that beyonce always tries to steal the spotlight from Jay or only cares about hova's events if the Press is around.

Like back in February, when Lebron James and Jay-z donated 150 musical instruments to the Boys & Girls club in Phoenix. Guess who sat between jay & lebron during their appaerances at the event with the kids? Beyonce. And every article was about Jay-z, Lebron and Beyonce donating musical instruments.!!

here u you will see what i mean:

But when jay is in clubs and partying with girls and stuff. she's no where to be found!!

Rapper Jay Z held a well-attended press conference this morning at Madison Square Garden to announce a charity concert on September 11 at MSG -- coincidentally, the same day his not-so-anticipated album The Blueprint 3 drops.

The third single off the album, "Run This Town" featuring Rihanna and Knaye West, got mixed reviews and was subsequently dismissed by music critics and fans alike.

The charity concert will raise money for the New York Police, Fire Widows and Children's Benefit Funds. While the intentions behind the gig are good, we wonder if Jay Z would have been so charitable if his album wasn't dropping that same day?

By the way, The Blueprint 3 leaked all over the Internets this past weekend. The entire album can be heard online at and tomorrow.

Clumsy ox Beyonce got her cowboy boots caught in PVC fencing at a pool party held in Brooklyn, New York yesterday. Neither Jay Z or Bey's bodyguard assisted her. They just looked the other way.

Pop singer Rihanna was in complete shock when a paparazzi informed her that popular DJ AM was found dead of a drug overdose in his SoHo apartment Friday afternoon. I'm sure this was her reaction after the pap told her that a crack pipe and half baggie of crack was found between his legs.

But Ri Ri recovered quickly and signed autographs before escorting her little brothers Rorrey and Rajad Fenty into a theater to view The Lion King on Broadway Saturday night.

If you're into hawt garbage, you'll be happy to know that Jay Z's Blueprint 3 leaked all over the Internets this weekend.

I didn't download the files so I can't tell you what the album sounds like. And I'm not posting a link because, unlike that Atlantic Records rep who sent the Trey Song joint last week, Jigga's label didn't send an advanced copy for us to review (not that we care). But it shouldn't be too difficult to find the CD online. The links are everywhere.

Blueprint 3 is scheduled to drop on September 11, but expect the label to move that date up now that the album has leaked. Please go out and support your local artists and help save the dying music industry -- and jobs.

If you thought Chris Brown would open up and be truthful about his violent episode with ex-girlfriend Rihanna back in February -- think again. Larry King was duped by Brown's camp into thinking he would talk about the events that took place that night. But instead of being forthright and honest about his bitch fit, he sat there and lied his ass off claiming not to remember anything from that night.

Rihanna should sue Chris Brown for everything he owns.

His mama, who is as sorry as her son, also appears on the program which airs on Wednesday. As I said before, I won't be watching.

You can tell what's in a woman's character by the way she steals other women's men, I mean by the way she treats others. Alicia Keys apparently has no respect for the artistic property of others because -- as Alcove explains in this video -- she has pilfered entire melodies from old school artists in the past without giving proper credit.

Unlike lyrics and audio samples (loops, beats, etc.), which are protected under the copyright law, melodies (humming and harmonizing) are not protected. We already know by her sneaky ways that AK is not an honest, right-minded woman. So we're not surprised to hear that she has ripped off yet another melody -- this time from the great Loleatta Holloway for Whitney Houston's new single "Million Dollar Bill" which AK wrote.

TV talk show host Tyra Banks posted this pic on her twitter page last week of her real hair which she blurred in Photoshop.

She tweeted:

"Here's me rockin my REAL hair, had 2 blur it so its still a surprise on Sept 8! Who else is sportin their real hair that day?"

Tyra has challenged sistahs everywhere to put aside their slave hair and rock their real hair on September 8 (Real Hair Day) when the new season of her popular talk show premieres.

Although I rock my real hair every day, I feel like doing something different with it on Real hair Day. Maybe I'll shave off one side of my head and post a pic. In fact, ladies, send in a pic if you rock your real hair on Sept. 8, so I can post them!

Can't wait to see Tyra's (and your) crowning glory!

I know you're tired of hearing rapper Drake deny this lame rumor for the 20th time. But Drake obviously needs to keep this rumor going since he senses his 15 minutes are winding down. No wonder Rihanna doesn't want to do a duet with him.

From ContactMusic (LOL @ "rap sensation"):

Rap sensation Drake has laughed off reports of a romance with single singer Rihanna - insisting their collaboration is strictly professional. The chart-topping pair prompted rumours of a relationship after they were spotted out and about in New York together, in the aftermath of Rihanna's split from Chris Brown.

But Drake - real name Aubrey Graham - insists they've been spending time together, while he tries to convince the Umbrella hitmaker to record a duet for his next album. He tells the New York Post, "We're just really good friends. We have great conversations about music, and we're trying to figure out the perfect song we can collaborate on for my album.
"I've only worked with one other female before (Mary J Blige). I hope that Rihanna is onboard, and I'm also looking to work with Sade."

This is the second time in less than a year that Dan and Alyssa Kopp’s Grant Park home has been broken into. Both times the break-ins were caught on video and uploaded to YouTube by the couple.

The first case, back in October, was solved quickly after a tipster called police to say they recognized the thugs who were busy unloading the Kopp's widescreen TV at a home. The stolen booty, including a laptop, were recovered.

The latest break-in occurred on August 28. But this time the Kopps had even more surveillance cameras installed in their Broyles Street home. Same scenario, different burglars. Just after 5 p.m. on Friday, the four thugs can be seen on surveillance video arriving in a black Nissan Armada (likely a stolen vehicle).

One thug wearing a green t-shirt and green shorts exits the vehicle, approaches the Kopp's front door and rings the doorbell several times. Another thug wearing a white tee and blue jeans then exits the truck and rings the doorbell again. Satisfied that there is no one home, the thugs drive around to the back of the home and four men can be seen exiting the truck. All four idiots are seen at the back door pulling their skinny jeans up while a Lil Wayne look-a-like wearing a white tee, jeans and a bandana on his head kicks in the back door in full view of neighbors.

Once inside, the gang spreads out looking for something light to pawn. A thief in a black t-shirt and jeans throws a stool at the couple's barking dog before the gang leaves with just a laptop. Ironically, the same laptop was stolen in the previous burglary. The thieves in the first robbery are only now being prosecuted for the October 2008 break-in.

The Kopps are at a loss to explain why thieves keep targeting their home. “That’s the million-dollar question,” Alyssa Kopp said. “We have a fence, a dog, surveillance cameras and a security system. But I guess there’s always so much more you can do.”

“It’s doubly frustrating knowing how not cut-and-dry the first case is going through the court system,” she said. “So even if these guys are caught, it’s just the beginning.”

In the past, Barack Obama's absence from the White House has helped raise his approval ratings slightly. But his latest extended vacation hasn't helped his approval ratings at all. The way things are going, his next vacation, which begins on Wednesday and ends on Monday, won't do much to lift his ratings out of the cellar either. Maybe it would help if Obama extended his vacation through September?

From Hot Air blog:

If Barack Obama hoped to gain some breathing room with his vacation, or perhaps even pick up some sympathetic vibe for eulogizing Ted Kennedy on Friday, Rasmussen’s latest poll shows that nothing has changed in the direction of his approval ratings. With one of the three days in Rasmussen’s presidential tracking poll after the wake, Obama has hit his highest level of strong disapproval yet, at 42%. The “passion index” has now hit -10 — not the worst of his term thus far, but certainly not good.

A new bill being drafted behind closed doors will give absolute power to Obama to disconnect any private sector computer networks if he deems them a threat to cybersecurity.

In fact, the requirements in the bill giving Obama power to disconnect networks from the Internet are deliberately vague. The 55-page bill drafted by aides to Sen. Jay Rockefeller (a Democrat from W. Virginia) gives Obama the power to seize control of private sector networks and "declare a cybersecurity emergency" relating to "non-governmental" computer networks.

Despite the fact those networks are not connected to -- and therefore pose no threat to government systems, Obama will still have the power to disrupt the networks to do whatever is necessary to respond to the perceived threat.

The new version of the bill includes a federal certification program for "cybersecurity professionals," and a requirement that certain private sector companies deemed to be critical will undergo "periodic mapping" and those companies "shall share" requested information with the federal government. Those companies would then be under the control of those "cybersecurity professionals" who answer to Obama.

Translation: If your company is deemed "critical," a new set of regulations kick in involving who you can hire, what information you must disclose, and when the government would exercise control over your computers or network. Source

Understandably, the implications behind that language is a cause for concern to telecommunications companies like Verizon and Nortel, among others. "I think the redraft, while improved, remains troubling due to its vagueness," said Larry Clinton, president of the Internet Security Alliance, which represents the telecommunications companies. "It is unclear what authority Sen. Rockefeller thinks is necessary over the private sector. Unless this is clarified, we cannot properly analyze, let alone support the bill."

The L.A. County coroner, in typical Hollywood dramatic fashion, has finally released the cause of Michael Jackson's death. The actual report itself has still not been released, but the cause of death is due to an overdose of the sedative Propofol used in the induction of anesthesia, and acute benzodiapine intoxication, including Valium, Ativan and other prescription drugs found in Jackson's system. The manner of death is ruled a homicide. So far there have been no arrests made, but Jackson's personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray is considered a suspect.

The L.A. County Coroner has just officially announced the cause of Michael Jackson's death -- Acute Propofol intoxication.

The report says "other conditions contributing to death: Benzodiazepine effect." Benzodiazepines are a group of drugs (see below) used to treat anxiety and insomnia.

The manner of death is ruled: "HOMICIDE."

The Coroner did not release the full autopsy report -- just a press notice. It goes on:

The drugs PROPOFOL and LORAZEPAM (Ativan) were found to be the primary drugs responsible for Mr. Jackson's death.

Other drugs detected were: Midazolam (Versed), Diazepam (Valium), Lidocaine (topical anesthetic) and Ephedrine (used to treat hypotension associated with anesthesia).

The final Coroner's report, including the toxicology report, will remain on security hold, per the LAPD.

Sandra, when I read the "fanmail" on your site this afternoon, I was reminded of something Obama said last year - "My Kennebunkport is on the South Side of Chicago."

It's kind of funny reading the Huffington Post article that was from [click], where they start off by saying "When President-elect Barack Obama heads home for a break from the White House, he won't go to a sprawling ranch or private seaside compound." But it appears he's done just that!

Jaycee Lee Dugard was 11 when she was snatched from a bus stop by two strangers within sight of her home on June 10, 1991. Yesterday she was reunited with her family for the first time in 18 years.

Jaycee's stepfather, Carl Probyn, witnessed the kidnapping as he stood at the fence in his yard and watched Jaycee walk to a bus stop two blocks from her home in South Lake Tahoe, California. Probyn said he saw two individuals in a grey sedan pull up beside the little girl and drag her into the car. "I saw them pull her in and I tried to get her," Probyn said.

He jumped on a bicycle and pedaled furiously after the car but the vehicle disappeared over a hill. Probyn said he screamed for a neighbor to call the police.

In the 18 years since Jaycee went missing, Carl Probyn was under constant suspicion by the FBI and family members who thought he was somehow involved in the kidnapping. Jaycee was featured on America's Most Wanted and her kidnapping garnered national media attention.

The case was finally solved this week by an alert UC Berkeley campus police officer who spotted 58-year-old Phillip Garrido and two children handing out pamphlets on campus. The officer asked for identification and, after running a background check, learned that Garrido was a registered sex offender on lifetime parole after serving time in 1999 for kidnapping and forcible rape of a child. Registered sex offenders are not allowed to be in the company of children.

The officer notified Garrido's parole case officer in Concord who called Garrido into the parole office for a meeting. Garrido showed up for the meeting on Wednesday accompanied by his wife, Nancy Garrido, 55, Jaycee Dugard, 29, and two girls, 11 and 15. Garrido told his case officer the two girls were his. But the case officer had visited the Garrido home on many occasions and never saw Dugard or the two girls.

Suspicious, the case officer interviewed Garrido and Dugard separately and the sordid story of kidnapping and rape began to unfold. Garrido admitted fathering Dugard's two girls -- the oldest of whom was born when Dugard was just 14.

Photos taken by Google satellite years ago show the backyard compound where Jaycee Dugard was kept hidden

Garrido said he kept Dugard and the two girls isolated in a series of backyard tents and sheds, secreted in a larger backyard behind his ranch-style home in Antioch, California. The secret yard was surrounded by a 6-foot wall and blue tarps. The car that was used to kidnap Dugard was also hidden in the backyard, arranged in a way to isolate Dugard from neighbors. The main shed where the victims were kept was soundproofed and could only be unlocked from outside. Dugard and her two girls had never been to school or to a doctor.

“I knew he was always strange,” said Diane Doty, whose back fence was adjacent to the compound. “But I never saw the girl.”

Police arrested the Garridos and charged them with multiple counts of rape and acts of child molestation and sexual penetration of a minor. They are being held on $1 million bond each.

Dugard's parents eventually separated due to stress following Dugard's kidnapping. Carl Probyn, Dugard's stepfather, said DNA wasn't necessary. He said he had no doubts about Jaycee's identity. “She answered all the right questions. It's her. We know."

Probyn's wife, Terry, who now lives in Orange County, flew to northern California yesterday accompanied by the couple's 19-year-old daughter, Shayna, who was just a year old when her sister Jaycee was kidnapped.

Garrido granted a telephone interview to a local TV station, KCRA in Sacramento. "My life has been straightened out” in recent years, he said from jail. “Wait till you hear the story of what took place at this house. You’re going to be absolutely impressed. It’s a disgusting thing that took place with me at the beginning, but I turned my life completely around."

"You're going to find the most powerful story coming from the witness, the victim - you wait. If you take this a step at a time, you're going to fall over backwards and in the end, you're going to find the most powerful heart-warming story."

According to the LA Times, Barack Hussein Obama is at risk of becoming only the third U.S. president to slip below the Gallup 50% approval rating in his first year in office.

According to Gallup, Obama has reached this new low faster than his predecessors did. By comparison, George W. Bush didn't fall below 50% approval rating until his third year in office. Bill Clinton dipped below 50% in his fourth month. Why the sudden slide for Obama? Because Kool Aid drinkers are finally waking up to the fact that they helped elect a radical socialist for president. Obama is finding out that many of his former supporters are now resistant to his bleak idea of Change.

Remember that Obama wanted a health care reform bill on his desk by the first week in August. He had no intentions on letting anyone read the bill -- and he had every intention on ramming the bill through Congress the way he did with the massive porkulus spending bill.

Obama, who has spent more time away from the White House this month than in previous months, will extend his vacation another week. It seems that Obama's approval ratings rise slightly when he's not in the White House implementing policy.
