The rumor mill has it that industry veteran Kevin Liles was fired from his position at Warner Music Group. Liles, who got his start interning at Def Jam, authored the book Make It Happen: The Hip-Hop Generation Guide to Success. He recently celebrated his engagement to Erika Jones.
From Hits Daily Double:
Sources are telling us veteran Urban music exec Kevin Liles has exited his post at Warner Music Group. We’ll let you know when we hear more details. Liles, a Lyor Cohen cohort since both were at IDJ, returned to the company just a few months ago, when he was put in charge of Warner’s growing portfolio of 360 deals, with an emphasis on monetizing those rights.
There is dumb, and then there is dumber. But singer Chris Brown is clearly the dumbest celebrity to ever be interviewed by CNN’s Larry King.
Even with Chris Brown’s mother sitting right beside him offering her support during a pre-taping of King’s show on Wednesday, Brown still couldn’t get his lies straight.
Brown responded to a question from King about the pre-Grammy night beating of Rihanna that ended in his arrest, by saying he couldn’t remember anything.
After the furur and outcry went up from women’s groups everywhere, Brown hurriedly released a prepared statement:
“There have been reports on the Internet that I didn’t remember what happened that night with Rihanna. I want to try and set things straight.
That 30 seconds of the interview they used of me was taken from a one hour interview during which that same question was asked something like 4 or 5 times — and when you look at the entire interview you will see it is not representative of what I said.
The first four times – or how ever many times it was – I gave the same answer — which was that I didn’t think it was appropriate for me to talk about what happened that night. I said it was not right for me and it really wasn’t fair to Rihanna. The fifth time – or whatever it was – I just misspoke. I was asked, “Do you remember doing it?” and I said, “No.”
Bitch boy goes on to say, “Of course I remember what happened.”
Of course you do Chris. You’re just the worst actor in Hollywood and you couldn’t get your lies straight.
My question is, if Brown didn’t want to talk about what happened that night, why did he even consent to appear on Larry King Live?
A loyal reader who works in the same midtown building as rapper T-Pain’s lawyer emailed Sandrarose.com over the weekend to say she saw T-Pain, real name Faheem Rasheed Najm, leaving his attorney’s office on Friday (8/28).
Word gets around quickly, and she learned that T-Pain was there to attend a mediation meeting to resolve child support issues with his baby mama, Elisa Hood, aka Ms. Cherry from VH1′s Miss Rap Supreme.
For a rapper who just put out a track titled “I Support baby Mamas” [CLICK to listen] he certainly isn’t supporting his own very well.
Before Friday, Ms. Hood was barely making ends meet with a measly $2,000 a month from the same rapper who bragged about dropping over $400,000 on a “big ass chain” inlaid with 197kt. diamonds. When T-Pain posted the pics of his 10 lb. chain on twitter last month, we chose not to participate in the nignorance by reposting the pics.
According to court documents, this dead beat dad pulls down $15 million a year in records sales, royalties and appearance fees. He owns an impressive collection of almost 40 luxury vehicles, including a Lambo, Bentley and a Phantom. Yet the cheapskate and his attorney put an offer on the table for a mere $500 per month more than the $2,000 he is already paying Ms. Hood in support for their 2-year-old son King!
Don’t you hate so-called ballers who value money and material possessions over their own seed? Oh, did I forget to mention that T-Pain was already married with children at home when he laid up with Ms. Hood?
From what I hear, Ms. hood left his offer sitting on the table — as well she should have — and a court date is pending in family court. When that day draws near, I plan to send a photographer to snap some pics of T-Pain leaving the courtroom with his big ass empty wallet after Ms. Hood finishes taking him to the cleaners!

Rapper Kid from old skool rap group Kid N Play is selling suits now. Hey, that royalty money from record spins only lasts so long and then you have to get a real job. Let this be a lesson to you wannabe rappers: money is EZ come and EZ go!
Every day I get at least 3 emails from former Kool Aide drinkers who have seen the light and reformed. Rapper Killa Mike represents those disillusioned minority voters who feel their needs have been overlooked by Obama. Mike says, “If he don’t get with the Black Agenda, we don’t vote for him the next time. I don’t care what color you are. If you’re not servicing the needs of my people, you don’t deserve my vote!”
Barack Obama’s approval ratings are sinking fast with no end in sight. The polls measure the apathy of Americans toward Obama due to his obvious lack of qualifications to run this country. What did voters expect? Obama was a junior Illinois state senator who spent two years voting “present” 130 times on tough legislation! That should have been a red flag.
From Hot Air blog:
Overall approval for Obama has now reached 46%, with 53% disapproving. Strong disapproval now comes within five points of overall approval, almost within the margin of error
Obama’s overall approval rating has dropped four points in the last two days, which gives an indication that the latest polling is significantly worse than earlier surveys. Rasmussen uses a rolling three-day poll of 500 likely voters each day. On Friday and Saturday, his overall approval was at 50%, but has dropped quickly to its new low.
This is genius! I can’t hate on Jay Z for making this commercial that creatively — and seemingly effortlessly – recreates all of his album covers. Here’s a tip: watch the ad with the volume on mute.
As I told you earlier, Jay Z’s Blueprint 3 can be heard in it’s entirety tomorrow on Rhapsody.com and MTV.com.
