Over the weekend, the social networking website Twitter.com was all atwitter over an alleged "hit" put out by one of the NBA premier superstars, Carmelo Anthony.
The drama began unfolding on Saturday (Aug. 28) when Carmelo tweeted this message to his 300,000 followers:
Apparently, a mentally challenged woman who calls herself Kat Stacks sent private messages to Carmelo, who then responded in kind. Maybe 'Melo didn't realize who @iHateKatStacks was and that she would make his private tweets public.
In a panic, Carmelo tweeted the "hit" to his Twitter followers in an overblown macho attempt to prove to his wife that he wanted no parts of the Stack -- and that he was even willing to have the troubled woman roughed up to protect his marriage.
Carmelo then tweeted a photo of the $5,000 hit money in crisp $100 bills for anyone who doubted his word.
Not surprisingly, the tweets and the photo later disappeared from his account followed by a tweet from Carmelo yesterday claiming his Twitter page had been hacked. He also stated he was in China -- as if he had no way of tweeting from China.
We would probably be inclined to believe him were it not for the fact that his wife, LaLa Vazquez (@lala), co-signed everything he tweeted on Saturday!
An epic group of music legends took a night off and actually watched from the side stage rather than performing! Beyonce, Jay Z, Alicia Keys and husband Swizz Beatz, Mary J. Blige and Chris Rock watched 90's music icon Lauryn Hill sing on stage at the 2010 Rock The Bells concert in New York City. Alicia looked very pregnant as she bopped to the music while Swizz Beats held her around her waist. Jay-Z and Beyonce clapped and sang along but did not stand as close to each other. Mary J Blige was with her husband and kneeled on the ground to get a closer look at the singer. Comedian Chris Rock had a weird look on his face during the entire performance and Jay-Z at times put his arm on his shoulder to take it all in. Lauryn also brought all of her children on stage and said: "Now you know why I've been gone for so long" as the crowd laughed. Photos: Splash News Online
We all know that Toronto rapper Drake is teh ghey and Trini rapper Nicki Minaj is a lesbun. So why are they both tweeting that they tied the knot yesterday? The first words that come to mind, of course, is "publicity stunt."
Drake is always in search of a beard to defuse the rampant teh ghey rumors about him.
And Nicki has to do something really desperate to beat Dondria's dismal 1st week sales numbers of 8,335 when her debut album drops on Nov. 23.
So what's more desperate than marrying a gay rapper?
"U scurred? @drakkardnoir u ready to make the announcement or wha?" Minaj tweeted Friday afternoon. Drizzy responded about an hour later with, "Baby I am never scared. PROUD is more the word I would use," before tweeting, "Please refer to @nickiminaj as Mrs. Aubrey Drake Graham and dont stare at her too long. She's finally mine. :)."
The hip-hip diva re-tweeted Drake's missive and added, "Yes, its true. Drake and I tied the knot." Read more...
Drake's reps have denied they got married. But we already knew that. Hip Hop is so wack and it's because of the lame artists.
When T.I. announced the 5 winners for the Takers Atlanta premiere and after party, all I asked was for my winners to take lots of pics to share with us. The only winner who complied with my request was Decori Johnson.
Tameka "Tiny" Cottle had no idea what was in store for her when she left home yesterday to run errands. But there was a big surprise waiting for her when she returned to a house full of flowers and gifts! The 12 bouquets of roses were from her husband, T.I. to celebrate their 1st month anniversary. As you know, Tiny and T.I. became man and wife at the end of last month in Miami. Tiny tweeted this pic on her Twitter page yesterday.
Thanks to everyone who participated in the contest. I know some of you are disappointed that you didn't win. I wish everyone could win.
But, hold on, you might still get your chance to win.
Blackblondee10 isn't the official winner until she confirms that she is a member of this blog. (If she's not a member then I will draw another winner's name and it might be YOU!)
The official winner will then submit her shoes size to @TyreLaJuan and choose the shoes (valued at $2,500) that she wants him to customize from Evelyn Lozada's fabulous high end shoe boutique at www.Dulceshoes.net!
These are the fabulous pumps that Tyre designed for Evelyn Lozada using black crystals!
The following are examples of the types of designs that Tyre LaJuan can do.

Members of Atlanta's gay community are still in shock over the senseless death of a co-owner of the popular gay club Traxx.
Durand Robinson, 50, (pictured above left) was found lying in the middle of a street with a gunshot wound to the chest in the early morning hours of August 25th. A resident on Hadlock Street on Atlanta's southwest side, called police at 1:23 a.m. to report sounds of a "commotion" followed by gunfire and a car speeding off.
An hour earlier, Robinson had attended a board meeting near midtown with other Traxx Atlanta partners to plan for the upcoming Black Gay Pride Week.
Although Robinson helped organize many gay events over 20 years, he was quick to let anyone know that he wasn't gay.
He often talked about his grown daughter, publicist Wynter Robinson, and the five nieces he helped raise. And Wynter always praised her father for his endless patience in raising the girls.
Although Robinson will be remembered as a peaceful and gentle man, a history of violence permeates the Traxx Atlanta firm that he was a partner of. Out of the 5 original partners of Traxx Atlanta, 3 have met violent deaths.
