Obama: “Bin Laden is Not a Trophy” *UPDATED*
Scroll down for updates…
In breaking news out of Washington DC, U.S. President Barack Obama has decided he will not release death photos of 9/11 mastermind Osama Bin Laden.
Sources are telling media outlets that Obama, who was raised a Muslim, feared disapproval from the Muslim world if he “disrespected” the mass murderer.
Conspiracy theorists and Al Qaeda had called for the White House to release the gruesome photos to prove that Bin Laden was dead after Obama announced he was executed early Sunday morning in Islamabad, Pakistan.
But Obama, who ordered a sea burial for Osama in accordance with Islam traditions, stood firm on his decision not to release the photos.
“Bin Laden is not a trophy,” said Obama in an interview he taped today with CBS News program “60 Minutes”.
Said Obama: “The risks of release outweigh the benefits. Conspiracy theorists around the world will just claim the photos are doctored anyway, and there is a real risk that releasing the photos will only serve to inflame public opinion in the Middle East.”
He added: “Imagine how the American people would react if Al Qaida killed one of our troops or military leaders, and put photos of the body on the internet. Osama bin Laden is not a trophy — he is dead and let’s now focus on continuing the fight until Al Qaida has been eliminated.” Source
The full program airs Sunday night on CBS.
UPDATE I, 5:35pm ET:
REUTERS Pictures and The Guardian UK has the gruesome death scene photos showing the bodies of 3 men inside the shot out compound where Osama bin Laden died. Click HERE to see the photos but be warned: they are graphic!
Osama is not in any of the pictures. For now, the bin Laden pictures are under lock and key — at least until Barack Obama is voted out of office.

Guys That Make Us Want to Jump The Broom
The new Columbia Pictures film ‘Jumping the Broom’ produced by Tracey Edmonds and Bishop T.D. Jakes is a romantic comedy that explores today’s difficulty in abstaining from sex until marriage.
Bishop Jakes fuses religion and comedy to challenge the film’s audiences to explore the option of abstinence before marriage.
The film asks the question how easy is it to abstain from sex until you jump the broom? And which guy would make you want to Jump The Broom?
Laz Alonso and Paula Patton play Jason Taylor and Sabrina Watson, a young couple who decide to spend the rest of their lives together in Holy matrimony. But when their two families from opposite ends of the tracks converge on Martha’s Vineyard for their dream weekend wedding, problems crop up and threaten to derail the happy event.
After meeting with Bishop Jakes for a counseling session, Taylor makes the decision to abstain from sex until his marriage to Watson.
In addition to abstaining from sex, Watson has to deal with her parents (played by Angela Bassett and Brian Stokes Mitchell) who have problems in their own marriage and appear on the brink of divorce.
And Taylor faces pressure from his friends who scoff at the idea of abstaining from sex until marriage.
‘Jumping The Broom’ also stars Mike Epps, Loretta Devine, Meagan Good, Tasha Smith, DeRay Davis, Julie Bowen, Romeo Miller, Gary Dourdan, Pooch Hall, and Valarie Pettiford.
‘Jumping The Broom’ opens everywhere on May 6, 2011.

Because Some of You Need Jesus
If you thought the dead birds falling from the sky in Arkansas was an omen — you were correct.
Our Lord and Savior Jesus Chris is set to make His first official appearance on earth since being nailed to that cross about 2,000 years ago. This, according to an expert who used mathematics and dates from the Bible to determine the exact date.
According to Splash News, the billboard is erected near one of the busiest roads in Los Angeles for the purpose of high visibility to the heathens and sinners driving by.
The date ‘May 21st 2011′ is printed on the huge billboard. A religious website named www.wecanknow.com is behind the advertisement. An American Christian radio broadcaster named Harold Camping has predicted this exact day using mathematics and dates from the Bible. He also predicts that this will be the start of Judgement Day and the end of the World will follow on October 21, 2011.
Obama Criticizes Burning of Quran
U.S. President Barack Obama released a statement Friday condemning the executions of seven foreign U.N. employees in the northern Afghan city of Mazar-i-Sharif.
Obama said in a statement that no religion tolerates “the slaughter and beheading of innocent people.”
A total of 11 people were killed Friday in uprisings sparked by the news that Pastor Terry Jones burned 2 Qurans during a stunt at his church in Florida on Mar. 20.
Mr. Obama, who was raised a Muslim, saved his harshest words for the burning of the Quran, which he called “an act of extreme intolerance and bigotry.”
The Taliban claimed responsibility for the murders, including the beheadings of two U.N. employees. The day of violence left 78 people injured and the death toll is expected to rise as rioting continued Saturday in Afghanistan.
Terry Jones, the Florida pastor who finally made good on his past threats to burn the Quran, said:
“We must hold these countries and people accountable for what they have done as well as for any excuses they may use to promote their terrorist activities. The time has come to hold Islam accountable.
“Our United States government and our President must take a close, realistic look at the radical element Islam. Islam is not a religion of peace.”
Mr Jones, a former furniture salesman, was quick to respond to accusations that blood was on his hands.
“We do not feel responsible, no,” Jones told “Nightline” anchor Bill Weir.
“They must alter the laws that govern their countries to allow for individual freedoms and rights, such as the right to worship, free speech, and to move freely without fear of being attacked or killed,” he said.
He added: “We demand action from the United Nations. Muslim dominated countries can no longer be allowed to spread their hate against Christians and minorities.”
When told by the FBI that there was a $2.2 million fatwa (hit) out on him, Jones said, “I don’t right now feel personally afraid. But we are armed.”
Mr. Jones’ next stunt is to put the Islamic high prophet Muhummad on trial for “crimes against humanity.”
BYU Dismisses Men’s Basketball Player for Having Premarital Sex
In a society where pregnant teens are rewarded for their promiscuity with fame and fat checks, there are still bastions of morality left somewhere in this country.
Brigham Young University (BYU) is standing by its controversial decision to kick standout center Brandon Davies off the basketball team for having premarital sex with his girlfriend. As a result of Davies’ dismissal, BYU (27-3) dropped its next game to New Mexico in an upset.
Davies himself revealed his violation of the school’s honor code in a meeting with school officials. The 6-9, 235 lb. sophomore told school officials that he had sexual relations with his girlfriend despite taking a vow to “live a chaste and virtuous life.”
According to ESPN, “an honor code review is under way to determine if the BYU sophomore will be allowed to remain in school, as well as his status with the team next season.”
BYU faces a wave of criticism for dismissing Davies from the team, but many in the BYU community applaud the school’s decision.
“Everybody who comes to BYU, every student if they’re an athlete or not an athlete, they make a commitment when they come,” said BYU coach Dave Rose of a code that also forbids use of alcohol and coffee and requires students to be honest and attend church regularly. “A lot of people try to judge if this is right or wrong, but it’s a commitment they make. It’s not about right or wrong. It’s about commitment.”

Oprah Fired Me For Talking About Jesus
In addition to being a tenured professor at Mississippi Valley State, Oprah Winfrey’s first cousin, Jo Baldwin, is also an ordained minister who preaches at two churches every Sunday.
Oprah knew that Ms. Baldwin was a deeply religious woman when she hired her to be her speechwriter shortly after the enormously popular Oprah Winfrey Show debuted. Later she promoted Baldwin to VP of her company Harpo Inc, according to Gawker.com.
“When I received my PhD in 1985 from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Oprah asked me where I was going to work,” said Jo Baldwin in the summer of 2010. “I said I would be applying for a position at Ebony magazine as a copy editor. Oprah said she did not like Linda Johnson Rice [owner of Ebony] and I should come to work for her instead. So I did.”
“I was to work for her for three years, but she fired me without notice after two years… I heard from someone later that she got rid of me because she got tired of me talking about Jesus all the time… Oprah preferred the teachings of Shirley MacLaine’s books, such as Dancing in the Light and Out on a Limb, which Oprah made me read but I didn’t think much of.”
Black Churches Blast Barack Obama’s Decision Not To Defend the Marriage Act
U.S. President Barack Obama, who calls himself a Christian when it benefits him to do so, has come under attack from the most unlikeliest of foes: the black church.
The Rev. Anthony Evans, who heads the National Black Church Initiative — a coalition of 34,000 black churches — is blasting President Barack Obama’s decision to stop defending the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA).
The Rev. notes that Obama “has violated the Christian faith” by failing to uphold Jesus’ teaching that marriage is between a man and a woman.
DOMA was signed into law in September, 1996 by then President Bill Clinton. The law is intended to uphold and preserve the sanctity of marriage between a man and woman.
Gays, (and other special interest groups) who make up a substantial portion of the left-wing voting bloc, say the law is unconstitutional. Not surprisingly Obama, who was opposed to gay marriage until it came time for him to seek reelection, agrees with them.
Obama’s new stance has angered the Rev. Evans who says black churches must “reassess their extraordinary support for him.”
34,000 black churches probably won’t put a dent in Obama’s chances to win reelection. Not unless Rev. Evans and his coalition of churches are able to rally the millions of black, non-churchgoing Kool Aid drinkers to join their protest.
I’m not surprised that black people have soured on Obama after years of drinking the Kool aid. Would it be appropriate for me to pause here and say that I told you so?
