ABC has officially parted ways with amorous co-anchors TJ Holmes and Amy Robach amid their adulterous scandal.

TMZ first reported last week that both TJ and Amy had hired high-powered attorneys in anticipation of being fired.

In an “extremely contentious” mediation meeting with higher-ups, Amy and TJ received payouts of their remaining contracts. While the negotiations were still ongoing as of Friday afternoon, they were both shown the door on Friday, Jan. 27.

The two co-anchors were suspended by ABC parent company Disney after their scandalous affair went public in November. Both TJ and Amy were married to their long-suffering spouses at the time.

Amy’s divorce from actor Andrew Shue is finalized. While TJ filed for divorce from attorney Marilee Fiebig last month.

ABC News President Kim Godwin told staffers in December that TJ and Amy were being taken off the air pending an internal investigation. Insiders whisper that Kim “mishandled” the scandal and that’s why Disney stepped in.

Kim previously told staffers that the couple would not be disciplined since they were “consenting adults”.

There were reports that only TJ’s job was on the line because he allegedly bedded multiple ABC staffers while still married to his wife.

Disney decided to cut them both loose since their cheating scandal tarnished Disney’s good name.
