FanMAIL: Which One is Beyonce?
Resident Beyonce Stan and groupie Munchosgirl sent in this throwback video of Beyonce’s old group Girls Tyme performing on Star Search back in 1993. You’ve probably already seen this video, but this is my first time viewing it.
I had a little trouble spotting Beyonce without the skin bleaching, dime store weaves, butt pads and ton of makeup on. In fact, I still don’t know which girl she is. Can you spot her dancing in the background?
Is Mika Means a Man?
Last year, Lil Wayne HQ uploaded the original dirty version of “Everybody Knows Me” by Atlanta’s own Mika Means. On that track, Lil Wayne’s lyrics were different and the label stated it wasn’t the official version.
Now Mika Means fansite has the official clean version. The beat is bumping. I actually like it, which is saying a lot.
But I was a little confused while listening to the track. At first, I thought Mika was a man. Is it just me or does she sound like a female version of Lil Wayne singing?

First Look At T.I. and Chris Brown in ‘Takers’
Last week your favorite blogger stood outside one of Atlanta’s most popular recording studios where the King T.I. was busy putting in work for Atlantic Records.
Within 30 minutes, the studio’s parking lot was jammed with luxury vehicles blocking in T.I.’s custom black Mercedes, which had been one of only 3 cars in the lot when I arrived.
As I stood shivering in the bitter cold, watching local DJs go inside and waiting to make my move, my cell phone rang.
Recognizing the number, I answered. It was a Grand Hustle executive on the line. He had heard that I was on a mission to secure the first photo of T.I. after his release from a federal prison to an Atlanta halfway house on Dec. 22.
The exec wanted me to reconsider getting that exclusive shot.
“I was already given clearance by a studio staffer,” I told him. I was just waiting to see who was going inside. The Grand Hustle exec pleaded his case, “just wait until this is all over with the feds then you can have all the pictures you want.”

Ray J and Young Buck Defend Their Manhoods
I find it hilarious that manly men Ray J (Brandy’s brother) and rapper Young Buck feel the need to defend themselves against homo accusations made by a certified head case.
As you know, Monica Danger, the reality TV personality who was recently hospitalized for attempting to kill her newborn baby girl, went on a radio station and painted both men with the flaming gay brush. She said Ray J was Young Buck’s lover or vice versa.
Here’s what Ray J said in his defense:
“I still got love for Danger, that’s one of my peoples (sic). But I didn’t (return) her calls for the last 2-3 weeks. So she threatened to say ‘I’m going to tell people you’re gay!’ She went along and actually did it! I’m not gay but I got love for gay people because I work with gay people… girls and dudes. I’m comfortable with my sexuality.”
He went on to add that he holds no animosity toward Danger. “We’re both upset with each other. But it’s ok, I’m going to work it out with her soon and we’ll be friends again.”

FanMAIL: Fantasia’s Brother SHould Be Ashamed of Himself
With the exception of a few artists who don’t play that, the majority of reality TV shows are centered around dysfunctional families. It makes for good TV and pulls high ratings because the public identifies so closely with the dysfunction on the small screen.
Fantasia continues the tradition of exposing the dysfunction in black families on her new reality show Fantasia For Real which premiered last night on VH1.
One loyal reader took immediate issue with the show’s portrayal of Fantasia’s self-indulgent brother “Teeny” who lives in Fanty’s pool house and doesn’t seem to have a steady source of income.

I love your website because it not only keeps it real but makes people aware of the bs in our communities and i really would like you to post something about teeny aka joe fantasia’s brother. It’s not just that she is supporting him… i think it goes deeper than that why do black women support black men … let me rephrase that. Why are our black men letting black women take care of them as if they were a small child. I’m so confused ……. and it’s not just black women, it’s women in general that support them and enable them to be dead beat ass bums and daddy’s. Now i’m not saying that they’re aren’t men out there that make a good living and support their children and their families because they’re are plenty that do. i just can’t help but be disturbed after watching Fantasia for Real’s first episode..
Teeny should be ashamed of himself. He is almost 30 years old living in his sister’s pool house with no driver’s license but driving 2 very expensive cars just being a bum and living literally in a fantasy world!!! Oh, it was so wrong Sandra!! Even his girl commented on the fact that he needs to get it together. But i had to roll my eyes at her comment because, “thats her MAN” so obviously she isn’t too repulsed by it as she came across. But moving on….
It jsut makes me angry that this is the state of some of our black men. they want to be respected but don’t do a damn thing to earn the respect. I don’t know, maybe I’m out of line but I pray for Fantasia because she is not only a fellow dark skin woman in the industry (I’m dark skinned and I know it’s not easy for dark skinned women in the music biz) but she is really talented and obviously has a huge heart. It looks to me that Teeny will probably be on her payroll til’ she runs out of money. If i were her I would say ‘get the hell out my house! You’re not my man and I don’t have to take care of you.’ …

i would love it if you put his ass on blast because he’s a certain type of gold digger even though he’s not sleeping with Fantasia, he might as well be for real.
Oh, and the part that got me so angry is when he test drove a Ferrari talking about I’m gonna get me one real soon …….. and I thought to myself ‘you mean you’re gonna ask Fantasia to buy it for you,’ that’s just disgusting to me when the money could go to people who are actually in need.

Yesterday I told you Tyrese’s birthday bash brought out Rihanna and the cops, who shut the party down.
Tyrese and his pal Sean Combs, who each have millions of followers on the social networking site Twitter.com, tweeted the party’s location resulting in over a thousand uninvited guests showing up and causing mayhem outside MyHouse.
The LAPD showed up in force with helicopters to control the crowd.
“1,100 people turned away!” Tyrese twittered. “17 police officers outside. Hellicopters, SHUT DOWN!”
My birthday was on Sunday, and the celebration wasn’t nearly as exciting as Tyrese’s — though I was caking (thanks Devyne Stephens!) And I still have birthday gifts to collect (waves at Alex and Mr. Plush).
