A Chicago judge who revoked a mother's custody of her 11-year-old son until she got vaccinated has reversed his decision.

Rebecca Firlit, a 39-year-old desk clerk, was surprised when Cook County Judge James Shapiro asked about her vaccination status during a virtual child support hearing with her ex-husband.

Firlit explained that she had "adverse reactions in the past and was advised not to get vaccinated by her doctor. It poses a risk."

But Judge Shapiro revoked Firlit's custody of her 11-year-old son until she got the vaccine.

Firlit's attorney, Annette Fernholz, immediately appealed the order, arguing that Shapiro overstepped his authority as a judge.

"In this case you have a judge, without any matter before him regarding the parenting time with the child deciding 'Oh, you're not vaccinated. You don't get to see your child until you are vaccinated.' That kind of exceeds his jurisdiction," Fernholz told Fox 32 Chicago.

"You have to understand the father did not even bring this issue before the court. So it's the judge on his own and making this decision that you can't see your child until you're vaccinated," she added.

Fernholz said Judge Shapiro reversed his order on Monday.

"Judge Shapiro just issued an order vacating portions of his prior order of August 11th so Rebecca Firlit can see her son again," Fernholz told Fox 32.

She said the judge likely reversed his decision following "media outcry".

"I think there's been a lot of media outcry. The divorce bar here in Illinois has been responding when they saw it on the news," Fernholz said.

Another attorney representing Firlit's son said Firlit became "volatile" during the child support hearing, and her behavior may have influenced the judge.

But Firlit denied doing anything to endanger her child. "It definitely was not a reason to take my child away from me," she said.

Rapper DaBaby reportedly met with leading Black HIV activists representing nine HIV organizations across the U.S., according to a press release.

The private virtual meeting was held on Tuesday, August 31, "to discuss HIV facts and share personal stories of living and thriving with HIV."

The meeting followed an open letter signed by 125 HIV organizations to DaBaby after he hurled anti-HIV comments at the Rolling Loud music festival in Miami in July.

DaBaby, real name Jonathan Kirk, was "canceled" following his Rolling Loud performance. Multiple summer festivals canceled his concert bookings, costing him over a million dollars in revenue.

The Black HIV leaders called for a meeting with the artist in an open letter on August 04 "to which DaBaby affirmatively responded," according to the press release.

The organizations provide HIV education and direct services to Black heterosexual men and women and LGBTQ communities across the southern United States, which account for the majority of new HIV cases. Last week, GLAAD also released findings from the 2021 State of HIV Stigma Study, funded by the Gilead COMPASS (COMmitment to Partnership in Addressing HIV/AIDS in Southern States) Initiative which found only 42% of Americans know that people living with HIV cannot transmit the virus while on proper treatment.

MediaPunch / BACKGRID

In a joint statement, the Black Community Leaders/Meeting Attendees said:

"The open letter to DaBaby was our way to extend him the same grace each of us would hope for. Our goal was to 'call him in instead of calling him out.' We believed that if he connected with Black leaders living with HIV that a space for community building and healing could be created. We are encouraged he swiftly answered our call and joined us in a meaningful dialogue and a thoughtful, educational meeting.

During our meeting, DaBaby was genuinely engaged, apologized for the inaccurate and hurtful comments he made about people living with HIV, and received our personal stories and the truth about HIV and its impact on Black and LGBTQ communities with deep respect. We appreciate that he openly and eagerly participated in this forum of Black people living with HIV, which provided him an opportunity to learn and to receive accurate information...

The New England Patriots have released quarterback Cam Newton, after naming rookie Mac Jones as the starting quarterback.

Newton agreed to a one year deal with the Patriots in July 2020, but the team missed the NFL playoffs for the first time since 2008.

According to reports, the Patriots decided Jones was a better fit at the quarterback position than Newton.

BACKGRID

Part of the reason for Newton's dismissal was his refusal to take the Covid vaccine. Newton tested positive for Covid-19 last October. He is assumed to have natural immunity against the virus.

"They are so sure of Mac Jones that they felt like it would be unfair to have Cam on the roster," said ESPN Senior NFL Insider Adam Schhefter on "First Take."

The news sparked a plethora of Twitter.com memes shading the former NFL quarterback.

Dallas Cowboys beat reporter Clarence Hill Jr. joked:

"I would love for the Cowboys to sign Cam Newton as Dak Prescott's primary backup. I think Cam would be a great teammate. But I would [not do] anything to put Prescott in jeopardy. Cam is not vaccinated. Even the slight chance of him causing Prescott to miss games is a bridge to far."

Despite all the taunting, Newton kept it classy in an official statement: "I really appreciate all the love and support during this time. But I must say please don't feel sorry for me!! I'm good."

Senior NFL reporter Albert Breer said Newton "Was a very good teammate and fit right into the culture there."

Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson put their pride aside and got back together for the sake of their 3-year-old daughter, True Thompson.

The happy family was seen running to their car after having a fun time at the Tumble Tykes gymnastics in Woodland Hills on Monday.

When she's not rounding out her daughter's activity schedule, Khloe wastes time responding to trolls on social media.

The 37-year-old reality star lashed out at "people creating fake sh-t" about her on Twitter over the weekend. Trolls always have something to say about Khloe -- and she always responds.

"HA! some of y'all really just make up anything and swear it's the truth as if you know what's going on," she wrote on Sunday.

"The truth is never good enough... or juicy enough. So you create a narrative that fits what you choose to believe."

Khloe didn't clarify what "fake sh*t" she was referring to. The Good American founder complained that trolls were "terrorizing" her.

Khloe partied with Tristan at a birthday party for LeBron James' wife, Savannah James. Savannah, an Akron, Ohio native, turned 35 on August 27.

The exes took separate vehicles after the party. Khloe even shared a photo of herself showing off her curve-fitting black Balenciaga club dress as she leaned seductively on a black SUV.

Khloe reportedly spent over $100,000 on her face and bod in recent years. Some would agree it was money well spent.

Are you in a narcissistic relationship? Living with a narcissist can be bad for your health, according to mental health experts.

Narcissists are evil personified. They are soulless humans who lack empathy and harbor an exaggerated sense of entitlement.

Narcissists are in love with an idealized self-image. They use their victims to project that idealized self-image back to them.

When a victim worships a narcissist it validates the narcissist's sense of self importance.

"In this industry, you come across all kinds of narcissists," Jada Pinkett Smith said on an episode of her popular Facebook Watch show Red Table Talk.

"Definitely. Big time. Big time. Devastated. Because you bring people into your inner sanctum. They make you believe that they're one thing, and then something happens, and you realize that they are something completely and utterly different. It can be very painful and dangerous."

You don't have to be a celebrity to be a narcissist. Pathological narcissism is on the rise in America thanks to the Internet. Social media is a breeding ground for narcissism. Children as young as 5 have access to social media which instills a superficial sense of importance in the child.

Children who were exposed to the harmful influence of social media are now young adults terrorizing their partners.

Psychology Today listed warning signs to watch for.

1. Lack of Empathy

Narcissists have a stunning lack of empathy for the suffering of humans and animals. Their lack of empathy makes it easy for them to prey on people or take advantage of family members.

2. They Are Very Charming

Narcissists can be extremely charming. They can make you feel very special and wanted and desired. They hone their skills by watching others and then they practice their charms on their victims (you). They can be very persuasive and seductive and overpower you in a process called "love bombing."

3. Conversation Interrupter

The narcissist constantly interrupts conversations and switches the focus of the discussion back to them. What you have to say is not interesting, so stop talking and listen.

4. Silent Treatment

The silent treatment is one of the tools in the narcissist's sinister arsenal. It is the ultimate rejection. The narcissist can ignore you for days, weeks, or even years. The narcissist usually ignores you until you apologize to them -- even though they were the cause of the conflict!

5. Rule Breaker

Narcissists frequently break rules because they believe rules and laws don't apply to them.

6. Grandiose

The narcissist has an exaggerated sense of self importance. They believe they are extremely handsome or beautiful -- and how lucky you are that they "chose" you. They can be extremely convincing, but watch out for their lies. Remember, you are just a part of their fantasy world. Nothing they say or do is real.

7. Entitlement

Narcissists have a distorted sense of entitlement. They insist on having the best of everything. They don't have to wait in line or follow rules - rules are for peasants!

Kevin Mazur/Getty Images

8. Conversation Hoarder

Narcissists love to talk about themselves. But more importantly, they love to hear you talk about them. They dominate conversations so you can't get a word in. If you do get a word in, your comments are dismissed as insignificant.

9. Fixation On That Mirror

Narcissists live in the mirror. They can't pass a mirror or a storefront without looking at their reflection. You might joke about their love for mirrors, but they're not laughing inside. The mirror validates their idealized self-image. They need the mirror because their internal self-image is so distorted.

10. They Mirror You

Watch out for this one! Be careful of narcissists who mirror you. When a narcissist mirrors you, she wants to manipulate you into loving her by acting as if she is your perfect twin. You are her narcissistic supply.

She copies your style of dress, your hairstyle, how you walk and talk, your hand gestures, etc. Your friends might say you two are twins (but don't take it as a compliment). She is learning your strengths and weaknesses and all your insecurities. Eventually, she will replace you by taking your man, your job, or your life. Mirroring is a red flag. Proceed with caution!

Richmond police are investigating the death of popular Houston Instagram model Jenae Gagnier as a murder-suicide.

DJ Envy and Charlamagne trashed Kanye West's DONDA album during Monday's "Rumor Report" on "The Breakfast Club" radio show.

During the segment, Charlamagne called the 27-track album "lackluster," "exhausting," and "dated."

"I listened to it yesterday. I don't know if it's lackluster or too long, maybe both. Upon first listen, for me, it was kind of lackluster and long. An hour and 48 minutes is nuts. Even without all the part twos on there, it's just still too long and it gets exhausting. And the music, to me, sounds kind of dated."

DJ Envy went further, admonishing Kanye's "clown" behavior and criticizing the entire DONDA album rollout as "a circus."

Envy also chastised Kanye's handlers, particularly his groupie manager, Bu Thiam, and rapper Pusha T for not holding Kanye accountable for his behavior.

"Kanye is a clown," DJ Envy said.

"He is a clown and a circus. He is a clown and circus, and I'm ashamed of the people around him -- Bu, Free, Pusha, Monopoly... he is a clown. And if you don't get your guy together -- like Charlamagne said seven years ago, when he came up here and said, 'The people around you don't love you.' And Kanye, the people around you don't love you. You are a clown."
