Burlesque singer Beyonce was spied heading to a photo shoot in downtown New York City yesterday. She wore tight leather pants, 5-inch heels and an expensive Llama fur coat. In more Beyonce news: Bey's steamy perfume ad was banned in my native England where television standards of decency are higher than they are here in the states. The camera's "prolonged focus on shots of her dress slipping away to partially expose her breasts" created a furor which led to the banishment. Good for them for protecting the innocence of the youth!
Rapper Nicki Minaj stopped by the 'Late Night with David Letterman Show' at NBC studios to promote her Pink Friday CD which drops on Monday.
Earlier in the day, Nicki Minaj made a fan's dream come true with the help of The Garden of Dreams Foundation at the Fuse studios in NYC yesterday.
Rapper Nelly attended the US Weekly magazine party at Colony Nightclub in Hollywood last night. Nelly's album, 5.0, which dropped last week, is expected to sell in the 55-60k range. The current single is "Long Gone" featuring chris brown & Plies.
In case you missed it, rapper Nicki Minaj brought out R&B Diva Keyshia Cole during a live performance and 21st birthday celebration for blogger Karen Civil in New Jersey last night.
About 700 of my most loyal readers and I sat up until 2 a.m. watching the live stream courtesy of Play Cloths.
Nicki and Keyshia performed their hit single "I Ain't Thru". The crowd was so hyped that Nicki was forced to stop her performance and implore the audience to stop fighting. Click the link below to watch the performance and special interviews.
In case you're not familiar with Karen, she ran the Weezythanxyou blog for rapper Lil Wayne while he was locked up.
This can't be good: this week's edition of Newsweek magazine features an illustration of U.S. President Barack Obama on the cover as "Shiva the Destroyer" doing the "dance of death." By the way, Shiva is considered to be a major Hindu deity, or a God.
Mr. Obama has gone to great lengths to convince Americans that he is a Christian and not a Muslim as polls have shown. So this cover won't help the situation much.
I had my doubts that this was a real cover, so I called my contact over at Newsweek to confirm. This issue hits newsstands on November 22nd.
In happier news, Khloe Odom and her husband Lamar get into the holiday spirit on the cover of People Extra magazine.
“Hi dolls! I’m so excited to share with you part of Lamar’s and my feature in People Magazine’s Holiday Issue!! This is going to be our first Christmas at our new house so it’s a really big deal for us. Last year we tried to go all out in our temporary home at the SLS Hotel, but even with the decorations, it still just wasn’t the same. This year we’ve taken holiday spirit to a whole new level.”
Splash News has new pics up of troubled rapper Kanye West in Paris, France with a woman who isn't Amber Rose.
The couple walked arm in arm as they visited the Versailles Palace. This is the same tourist attraction that Kanye took Amber to during happier times when she fulfilled her contractual obligations as his beard. But then Amber got the big head and started contracting her services out to nightclubs and such. So Kanye had to dump her because there was only room for one super sized ego in his camp, and hers wasn't it. It's hard to tell from these pics what the new chick looks like. But we can tell that she is Caucasian like Amber.
For those of you who missed last night's episode of 'Chelsea Lately', the comedian goes in on 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' cast member Phaedra Parks who dares to mention her BFF 50 Cent.
Chelsea -- who many in the black community believes is an undercover racist -- grills Phaedra for opting out of performing such motherly duties as breast feeding and burping her newborn baby.
Apparently, Chelsea isn't aware that Phaedra is working off of a script.
"Hey, moron!," says Chelsea. "You're not giving birth to a Cabbage Patch kid!" Chelsea notes that Phaedra is an attorney who is married to an ex-con. "Sounds to me like she's living the African American dream!," she says.
Singer Usher was spotted shopping in Los Angeles yesterday. Usher's new stylist layered him in Fall colors. He's currently on tour with Trey Songz.
Actresses Halle Berry, right, and Ruby Dee departed the 'Frankie & Alice' movie screening in NYC last night. I love Ruby's cobalt blue pantsuit.
Producer Dr. Dre was spotted on the set of his friend Snoop Dogg's music video in downtown Los Angeles yesterday. Do these aging rappers know that steroids and human growth hormones actually accelerates the aging process? Somebody better tell 'em. Photos by Photo Agency
